It's hard to put into perspective what emotion this game gave me. At first the game was very confusing and fun at first. Just explored the few aspects, the tough enemies and even fought the very first few bosses. I think the over all punishment of this game is it had no mercy or forgiveness if you missed or skipped certain NPC's or events. Roughly that happened to me a lot the very first play through. I spent probably around 130 hours on my first game. Having chose the pyromancer as my starting class, thinking this was the only way to unlock pyromancy until I realized everything in the game was at my disposale, just took some time to get.

Once I finally understood the mechanics of this game, the item and the leveling and upgrade systems I dove deeper. I saw the story behind this game, the lore behind each character, the story this game so passively told and what effect it had on the society and people you come across inside the game, most importantly your own.

being beaten down thousands of times over and over, back to back with almost 0 to no progression in the game is part of the experience. This game wants you to send you to the bottom, failure this game wants you to fail so you know how good it feels to win. What it feels like after dying countless times to a single boss only to eventually win with 0 estus left and all health left to nothing but a drop. You do this a lot more than once to. My sense of curiosity got to the best of me to, trying different load outs and weapons. What's best for certain bosses and what works best against certain enemys? PvP strategys and how to get involved more into the game. Even trying a few co-op runs with friends.

All of this led to well, the end of your story. The final boss right? You're done, this is it. The end. You take all this experience and so rightfully win. Is it truly the end though? Being able to start a fresh new start right after. There is no true end to this game to me. The final boss was never the final boss for me. I just kept going. This game kept awarding me with such a deep connection of failure and success

To touch base on the DLC, I had probably already played through the game 9 or 7 times. Before I considered buying the DLC knowing I loved this game. I explored the new DLC's without searching anything up making sure not to spoil any new things I were to come across. Almost as if this was my first time playing the game again. The DLC was short and sweet to the taste and jumped you right into the action but I felt most connected with the story in the Ringed City.

!!!SPOILERS!!! (heres the ending of my review to avoid spoilers, other wise keep scrolling if you don't care :)

that was truly the end and I actually felt sad. That was the true end of a game and series I loved so much. Of course I played it over and over but after that it never felt the same.

so to anyone out there who took the time to sit down and read the comment to someone with more than 800+ hours on darksouls III

not only am I telling you to enjoy yourself with this amazing title. Stretch the experience the longest you can by taking your time with every knick and cranny the game offers you because this game is more than a story or a game to me. It's a journey :).

The whole vision of failure and winning came to a test when I tried going against the Iconic dragon: Midir. Slaying him felt super rewarding. I love the boss weapons you can net from him to.

It all led up to the princess, and then to Gael.

I think it took me the most time out of all bosses to kill Gael. His OST music is absolutetly the best in the game by far in my oponion as well but once I finally landed that final blow on him I didn't really feel success. It all fell silent, my headphones faintly played their last note to the music that led to the death of what was truly, the final boss. You're just left there in that open dessert.
