Great game with friends, still fun if solo though. Casual can be fun, but ranked is much better with the pick and ban system, along with extra rounds given.

The Year 1 and Year 2 Operators and the only ones worth getting, otherwise just buy all the other Ops with Reknown.

Map Reworks are decent, mainly just making the maps more balanced for both sides, like Kafe and Oregon Reworks.

Battle Pass system is a nice addition for free loot, but not worth paying money towards the premium loot.

The Year 4 Pass was pretty overrated, with only a few good ops like Mozzie, Gridlock and Wamai. The Year 5 Pass isn't really worth it either so far.

If you're going to buy this game, make sure you get an Edition that comes with Year 1 or 2 Ops. Siege usually goes on Sale around new seasons and Operator releases.

Still one of my favorite games on Steam.

EDIT (1,000 HOURS)

Year 7 Season 2 just came out and the end is near for this game. The toxicity and lack of team work has ruined any hope of having fun. The map pools are horrid now with all the fun maps either being reworked into the ground or outright removed.

Recent operators have been interesting but that's about it. Each one seems to ruin the game and make it more cluttered and annoying. A few quality of life improvements have been made but the overall game lacks content and hype.

Playing this game for the first time is impossible now. You have to get to level 50 in order to play ranked. This has turned a few of my friends away from getting back into the game as they don't want to put in hundreds of hours just to play ranked. Despite this prerequisite, I still get garbage teammates that drop 2 kills a game with no mic. Truly can't suggest anyone buy this game, it's been dead for years and it has zero future. Just make a new game Ubisoft.
