The story is not the best but well worth the money and time spent. It's unique and interesting. Has cool/innovative visuals and a nice soundtrack.

So far pretty fun. Spent most of my time building a gothic vampire castle.

I was only able to play for 30mins. Fun or not, the game's servers shouldn't be down this much. It's unforgivable given the price of the game.

I recommend you play it and give your honest opinion on the game. For short, I didn't enjoy it.

Dark Souls 2 occupies a strange space for me. I genuinely wanted to enjoy it, but I just couldn’t. Throughout my time with the game, I struggled to find any real enjoyment or sense of accomplishment.

One of my main complaints is the boss design. The bosses felt clunky and poorly designed, failing to present a true challenge. I defeated most of them with fewer than two deaths, often on my first try, which diminished the satisfaction of overcoming obstacles that the series is known for.

The level design added to my frustration. Locations felt scattered and disconnected, often leaving me confused about where to go next. This led to frequent online searches for guidance, breaking immersion and flow. The fog door interaction getting canceled by enemy attacks, dark areas and the torch mechanic, which requires constant management, further compounded my dissatisfaction.

Additionally, my experience was marred by technical issues. There were several instances where enemies glitched, remaining stationary and not attacking, which detracted from the game's overall polish and challenge.

In the end, Dark Souls 2 failed to capture the magic of Dark Souls 1 & 3. While it has its moments, the combination of clunky bosses, confusing level design, and technical glitches made it a less enjoyable experience for me.

Fun and short. Worth trying out if you are into rhythm games.
