I really liked the first 60 Seconds...and this updated version is only better.

Let me start by saying: I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT FISHING. Please keep that in mind as you read this review.

The Positive
I really like this game. Yes, I said game and not simulator. I see it as a game rather than a true simulator because there are many artificial limitations, restrictions, and rewards. For example you have to be certain levels to purchase specific items. In the real world I can walk into a sporting goods store and purchase any fishing gear I wish. I don't see it as a negative, just an observation.

The Negative
The learning curve is brutal. Every game I have ever played the tutorials have you play the game while explaining how something is accomplished. This game has one short tutorial that does that: instructions on how to move using the W, A, S, D, keys. Really??? What gamer needs a tutorial on using the WASD keys for movement? The remaining (few) tutorials are simply a series of pictures. It seems the game is intended for those who actually fish in the real world.

The descriptions of the gear do not include specifics of how to use them or what to use them with, but rather they are advertisement blurbs you’d find in a fishing magazine. And for those of us not familiar with fishing, we can’t grasp why THIS reel won’t work with THAT rod. Sure, I can Google it or ask in Community Discussions, but then I’d be doing that ALL THE TIME.

Player support leaves a lot to be desired. Just a heads up...if you decide to purchase something, take a screenshot of the transaction because if anything goes wrong they will ask to see one or tell you tough luck, because they won't attempt to duplicate the situation to see what happens for themselves.

The Neutral
It's a money grab. But most things (except Premium Accounts and special offers) can be acquired in-game. So, if you don't plan to spend any real money and don't mind the grind (it IS fishing, after all), this shouldn't be an issue.

TL;DR
I really do enjoy this game, but the lack of any useful gaming instruction and their lazy support staff can be a deterrent to gamers.

I love the game of backgammon, though I am by no means very skilled. I just have fun with it. I'm giving is a thumbs up but as so many people say about so many games, they should have a "It's Ok" option. I mean the game is visually pleasing, the details impressive, and it works. But there are a few negatives that potential players should be made aware of.

Pros
Beautiful boards

Cons
Weird die rolls quite often (like the AI rolling double sixes 4 times in a row, etc)
Unskilled AI (even on Master level it does very dumb moves quite often)
Seems to be a lack of online players
The Undo Move function crashes the game most of the time (on my system anyways)

Because of the AI being rather lackluster this game would be great for someone just learning how to play, but if you are a seasoned player you may find yourself disappointed with this game. Again, there seems to be an absence of online players so if you get the game, expect to play against the AI.

Initially I liked the idea of the game so I paid to get it. Now it's free to play?? So exactly what did my money get me?

General
This is a simple game that is easy to learn and fun to play. I have only played it once so I can't really comment on the replayability factor yet but I had a great time and a few laughs so far. I had no issues with running the game.

*grabbed what I could and went into the shelter*
*then realized I had failed to grab my daughter*
*took in a cat -- but in no way does that replace the emptiness of not having my daughter*
*a group of survivors steals our radio*
*two Men In Black take a keen interest in the cat*
*my husband is killed by bandits*
*members from Monty Python pay us a visit*
*defended our shelter from bandits by playing a harmonica*
*my son gets sick, goes crazy, and runs out into the wasteland never to be heard from again*
*I last to day 53 and then die of dehydration*

7/10 Would allow a stray cat into the shelter again

Pros
The graphics, while very limited, are well-drawn
Decisions have an effect on what happens to you and your family (if you brought them)

Cons
There is very little in the way of variation in the graphics (though I consider this a minor issue)

TL;DR
Fun and simple, it's a great way to spend a few minutes (or longer).

I love the game so acquiring this dlc was a no-brainer. This expansion breathes new life into the game, adding enough new content without changing the gameplay flavor. There's enough difference that you feel like you have two games to choose from.

Pro
New cards!

Con
None. Seriously.

I remember playing the actual game when I was younger (my older brother and his friends were gamers). I always got a kick from this game. Some reviews talk about no skill, just dice rolls, etc. Well, that's pretty much how the original game played. But that is part of it's appeal, sometimes you just want to play a simple (dare I say mindless?) game for fun. I find the heavy emphasis on RNG gives the game more replayability.

Pros
Tongue-in-cheek fun
Replayability
Easy to learn and play

Cons
No co-op mode

It's difficult to describe this game. I like it a lot. But if you watch someone play you might think it looks boring. It's a simulator that you have to play yourself to really get the feel of it. While it's certainly not action-packed, there is something enjoyable, and even relaxing, about this game.

Pros
> Plenty of roads (and I mean PLENTY)
> Good graphics, especially the landscapes
> Very friendly community
> Runs great -- I have never had any technical issues running this simulator

Cons
> none that I can think of...honestly

And please, no jokes about Asian or women drivers. I am a very safe driver with a perfect record.

CS:GO Review
DISCLAIMER: Review is based on the game prior to Danger Zone.

I really enjoy this game. The expected trash talk can be fun, if you can endure the juvenile and petty players that frequent the servers. I find the game works well for novices up through experienced veteran FPS'ers with the various play modes that allow you to choose games based on your skill level (me, I'm not very good so I stick with Arms Race and Casual modes). I have had very few problems with running the game, most were server issues and not the game itself. As far as hackers, like any game they abound but my personal experience has been minimal contact with them, and those I did encounter were vote-kicked quickly.

Pros
> Just a whole lot of fun
> A variety of maps to choose from
> Various game modes to choose from

Cons
> Players in competitive games can be a bit too tightly wound up (kinda to be expected, though)
> Whiners, rage-quitters, and smurfs

Just a friendly heads up if you see me in a game: I camp. A lot. Deal with it.

Early Access Review
NOTE: this review is for the A16.4 build. I have not yet played the A17 update (I am giving them time to iron out the wrinkles). I will update this review when I have played A17.

General Info
I love everything :zzzz::oooo::mmmm::bbbb::iiii::eeee: but I often avoid zombie games because most are simply straight-up shooters. I like the idea of experiencing the zombie apocalypse, not just racking up a kill count. I enjoy this game so much (as evidenced by the hours I've put in) that myself and a friend have set up our own game server: Hell Must Be Full (tm) <-- shameless plug, a Steam group (goes by the same name) and a webpage (http://hellmustbefull.com <-- still under construction).

The game will not appeal to everyone. It can be grindy and repetitive with no clear goal to achieve. But for me that represents what the zombie apocalypse is: the contnued effort of day to day survival, not some grand adventure or quest. There are certainly aspects of the game that I think could be improved upon such as a way to adjust the size of the map, change the availability level of resources, or 'turn off' certain aspects of the game.

However, even with its shortcomings (it is in alpha, after all), it's a lot of fun. There are plenty of things to do and see -- zombies to kill, animals to hunt, minibikes to ride, bases to buiild, a variety of environments to explore . . . it even features stripper zombies (c'mon boys, try and tell me that doesn't intrigue you).

My first day as a survivor of the z-pocalypse:

*runs down a steep hill and sprains leg*

*comes across a boar just standing there*
*punches boar*
*gets gored and dies*

*didn't make bedroll and respawns in a random location*

*runs off a ledge and breaks leg*

*scavenging piles of trash finding a tin can, lead weights, and some paper*
>No idea why, but I am excited by these finds.

*during the night enters a spooky-looking house*
*finds turds and blueberries in a toilet*
>Is it safe to eat blueberries marinated in human excrement?

*drinks water from a lake and gets dysentry*
*later dies of dysentry alone in the wilderness*

9/10 Would punch that boar again.

TL;DR
Pros
> It's the freakin' z-pocalypse!!
> Crafting, scavenging, hunting, foraging (I personally like the grind of day to day survival)
> Different types of zombies, some with unique abilities
> Devs seem semi-active in updating the game
> Did I mention it's the freakin' z-pocalypse!?

Cons
> A little too much emphasis on building -- feels like Minecraft: Zombie Apocalypse Edition
> Map size is too big -- you can modify the files, but a game option would be nice
> Resources are too plentiful -- it's survival in the Land of Plenty
> Game settings -- adjusting some of the settings causes the game to list as a modded server
> Multiplayer needs more player interaction -- feels a lot like playing the single player mode
> It's still in alpha after all these years

Life sucks. Welcome to the apocalypse. :ksenianeutral: > :zugly: > :hs: > :HeadExplode:
