Possibly the most faithful remake we've seen to date, new camera angle immerses you in the world much more effectively than the original too.

Don't listen to reviews complaining about micro-transactions, while its not ideal that they're in the game, EVERYTHING is earn-able in game.
The performance suffers in cities but that doesn't weigh down how incredibly fun the game is, the urge to explore everything is huge because its almost always worth your time, you can be wandering through the woods fighting goblins one minute then find a cave and be fighting a Minotaur the next.
The combat is satisfying, each hit feels great to land and when you knock a Cyclops on its arse after a big swing of your greatsword, you get a nice rush, not to mention if you stagger them, you can grab their legs and push or pull to topple them in a direction you chose.
As for the no 'New Game' button, yeah its a bit weird, it was in the first game but, when they implement it don't expect multiple save files, that's just not what was intended for this game.

Very bland, very boring, will probably be fine for you if you enjoy the bethesda formula but I personally got bored of that formula 10 years ago.

Larian knock it out of the park yet again, constantly tempting me to come back and play to see whats new for almost 3 years until today where it becomes the only game I touch for the rest of the year.

Brilliant game to play with friends, nice and spooky and its updated regularly too.

Quick note: The complaints about micro-transactions are nothing but pure overreaction, the things you can buy can be earned in-game and from what I can tell you can earn them with relative ease too.

To start, the tutorial system is great, you can earn rewards for completing them which encourages you to learn and its nice and in-depth, covering every base from the basics to advanced strategy.
The combat has improved from MKX, while the game play is now slower, its based more around planning your moves and playing the neutral game well. The graphics have also seen a major upgrade with the facial expressions, gore and stage backgrounds looking better than ever.
I cant speak for the online service yet as I've not given it a shot but, i'm hearing there are a few issues with it, I have no doubt they'll be ironed out in no time.

Its one of the most frustrating games ever when you lose an OP item set from a 1 shot golem laser. 10/10 would cry again

Fantastic game to play alone or with friends, Battlerite nails the top down, arena, skill shotting gameplay, would recommend 100%

I don't know how they pulled it off but they brought us a Classic DOOM experience in HD, secrets every level, the Chainsaw, the BFG, THE DEMONS!

The campaign is awesome, although the actual story of it is overshadowed by how good the combat is, like this one bit where Hayden is talking to you in his office, you don't care, you want to be out there, punching Cacodemons in the eyes or ripping out a Pinky's tooth and slitting its throat with it. The execution animations are awesome by the way, they all look really gory and gruesome and there are at least 4 unique animations per demon type (Except Lost Souls which have none).

The Multiplayer isn't as fast paced as I would've liked but its still fun, the character and gun customization is a nice addition (although most people have... Poor taste...), some of the guns could do with a buff like the Hellshot or Heavy Assault Rifle as they are never used, it would be nice for all the weapons to be balanced so you could use a weapon based on your preffered playstyle rather than damage.

Overall its a brilliant game and is a must have for a Classic DOOM fan.
