I have been playing FO4 on and off since 2017. We all know it has its bugs and quirks, but with the strong modding community around this game (as well as Skyrim) it's virtually impossible not to be able to get an experience that suits your tastes and needs. Everything can be modded, and the people that make mods and support them are always around to lend a hand with their knowledge and advice so you can learn how to mod properly.

Modding, in and of itself, is a game all its own. It's like alchemy, science, doing experiments to see what works with what. It's also like building your very own game from the base provided. I've spent countless hours (and handfuls of hair and many tears) modding this game. But it's worth it because no matter the frustration, you're always learning more and improving your skills. And when you finally get that perfect setup and it is all working (despite the random crashes that will always plague this game) it's a joy to play.

I have never liked shooters. I was always bad at them when I tried. But FO4 has changed that for me. I am a crack shot now. I love the lore, I love the characters, and most of all, I just like sniping super mutant heads, or tossing Molotovs into a raider camp, but most all... I love blowin ♥♥♥♥ up!

Yes, I recommend this game. I am (at the time of writing this) a 64 year old grandma, and I approve this message ;)

This game is classic. And I mean that as a compliment to all the modders out there. This (and Fallout 4) would be tossed like yesterday's garbage by the entire gaming world if it were not for the amazing mods that people make for the community to enjoy. An epic story, a beautiful world, wondrous magic and engaging combat, who could ask for more?

The gameplay is pretty smooth, the graphics are great, also because I love dark and gothic imagery. Yes, there are a few bugs still to iron out, but overall I think it's pretty damn decent for a fresh launch. I'm still learning, as there are bits of the game I still don't understand - just mechanics and such, but that'll come in time.

The voice acting is great (from what I've heard so far) and it's a good mix of "you're on a quest" and roaming around the map as you please, discovering little instances to explore and loot. I think this game has a bright future.

This game is very well done, with fewer annoyances than most games. It's not perfect, but it's close. Being moddable is a huge plus. The characters are intriguing, the voice actors are stellar, the turn based combat is really nice for people who have a lot of interruptions in their lives or just like the chess-like strategy of combat.

I just wish it was longer. By the time you really feel like you have your group fleshed out, you're done. However, it does have replay value as you discover more and different builds to try out, and with the mods available, you really can come up with all kinds of party makeups.
