Other than performance issues, which are not that bad at all, so many people have bashed this for "microtransactions" and "pay to win" bull that don't even need explaining. So much misinformation about "having to pay to change your look" at lunch that it burned my eyes. It was taken way out of context only to give something to rant about on the internet. Objectively looking, is it good? No, not really. Does it affect ANYTHING with progression/makes it slower. NO. It might be scummy, indeed, but there is absolutely no incentive to pay for any of it. If you do, you literally have LESS fun with the game. And it got bombarded with negative reviews because of it.

I would write a full review, but there is no need. People who enjoyed and actually played the first one will feel right at home, and it is basically a better version of the first one. Yes, I agree they could have improved a whole lot more including some of the pestering systems this game has, but they are nothing to make the game less fun or unplayable. The story and quest design is obviously not at the level of high end RPGs like The Witcher or even Skyrim and whatnot, but again. Fans of the first one did not really expect anything else. They are better than the ones in the first game, but not by much. It's obviously ok to not like the quest design, but comparing to other RPGs seems out of place since it was not even trying to go into that direction in the first place. With a few patches and a hopefully some more content, even DLC, it will far surpass the first one.

First of all, I really wanna know who thought it would be fun to lose 1 whole bar of hp every time you run out of subs. I also wanna know who thought it would be a good idea to have certain characters like Utakata (my main) stun-lock people infinitely while also being able to cancel into his ult at the end. This game is a damn mess. Ninjutsu and support spamming, useless menus and features, missing a lot of online functionality, tilts as second jutsus....ACTUALLY not even that. My gurl Konan got her CHAKRA SHURIKEN as her second jutsu. Like what in the hell is going on here. It is the worst Storm game from an online standpoint that I have played until now. I'd rather go back to the counter from Revolution or no sub counter like in 1 and 2 than stay with this, the whole concept of "Simple Controls"....the game has already become more braindead than ever before. There's almost no learning curve left. It's all flat. The chakra regen as well....I get it you wanna speed up the gameplay, but like wtf. There is almost no need to charge chakra, not too mention that if you remain without subs in the air prepare for like 10 combo resets and 1 bar gone. I cannot even. Boss fights be missing left and right, even if I don't care about the story, it is still hella recycled. And that Boruto mini story chile....A disgrace to the whole series. Not that 4 was that good. At least it had SOME balance in it, broken as it was. This game has nothing. You can hit people anytime you want and cancel anything. Especially with the ULTIMATE jutsu FINISHERS. They might as well become regular jutsus at how often you see people canacelling into them. And why wouldn't you? Almost no risk involved nowadays. With almost no noticable cost either. At least they fixed bae Mei's regular string so that they cannot block in the middle of it. Other than that yeah....pray for divine intervention.

I cringed more in the first 30 min than in my whole life. #rip
