The remake of Resident Evil 2 is absolutely the best game in the franchise since resident evil 4, it may actually be the best game the in franchise. I really hope Capcom uses this as the template for Re8, instead of making it in the same vein as Re7. I love almost everthing about this game, from it's atmosphere to its gameplay. That being said I still have issues with it, such as I don't like that you can't drop items like in Resident Evil 0, instead of discarding them or running all the way back to a safe room to free up your inventory. I'm also not very happy about the story inconsistencies, and the fact that zombies can take upwards of fifteen bullets to down, even when getting perfect headshots. It honestly wouldn't be a problem for me if headshots would stun them a bit longer, or if you could run a little faster even for a short period of time. All complaints aside, I feel like this was a great day one purchase, and I hope as many Resident Evil fans support this as possible.
