Another amazing game from Akuma Kira. Lunacid takes the dark atmosphere of the King's Field games and adds its own flavor to it. As someone who has played all four King's Field games and both Shadow Towers, it was fun to see all the references and homages to those games. For one, they brought back the classic plant enemy. And also the Demon Waifu with a scythe. Kira's competency at making an atmosphere is shown in this game. The music, the visuals, and the enemy design gave me quite a thrill. I got scared me multiple times, just like when I played the original Shadow Tower. This game is everything I thought a King's Field remake would be like. Better movement and combat, as well as a modernized control scheme compared to the original King's Field games. All in all, even if you didn't play the King's Field series, you should play this. If you DID play those games, then it will be even better! Also, if you enjoyed Lost In Vivo and Spooky's House of Jumpscares, then you should DEFINITELY play it!

Very fun roguelike, along the lines of Nuclear Throne and Enter the Gungeon. It's still in early access, but I'm confident that it'll become an even more fulfilling experience than it is currently. Worth buying.
