I only play this game as a time waster, but if you're not a RWBY fan, you probably won't have a very great time with this game. And even then, I know RWBY fans who lose interest in this game fast. Campaign is a super mediocre bare bones story with easy but repetitive gameplay that doesn't feel very rewarding. Enemies are fairly straightforward, and not that engaging besides maybe the final fight if you even feel like getting there. I recommend the horde or guantlet mode at that point, especially if you're just looking to achivement hunt. There's much better hack and slash games you can play, and even out of curiosity, I wouldn't recommend buying this game full price.

I've gone through the reviews, and I feel confident in saying I lean more towards the positive ones. Of the negative ones however, I can confirm that there are some visual problems. The occasional stuttering personally didn't ruin the atmosphere for me, I shrugged it off and kept playing because everything else kept me engaged. However, I think its reasonable to want to wait for the game to patch the stuttering.

My positives: The sound design is incredible, and 100% what kept me the most immersed. James' VA performance is moving when it matters. Angela's arc is handled with care. I also appreciate the other little easter eggs shouting out the other Silent Hill games. Loved the Mannequins. Loved the atmosphere. I might be in the minority, but I also liked the combat. Let it be known that I played on standard combat and puzzle.

At worst, I can understand the common complaint I've heard that some parts of the game go on for too long and just feel like repetitive busy work. For me though, this part was made up for by getting to explore each new part of the game.

Praises aside, I truly do not understand the negative reviews saying that the devs missed the mark and don't understand what made the original Silent Hill work. Bloober's work feels like a love letter to the original game. I recommend trying both the original and remake out for yourself so you can decide, but I feel as though Bloober did a fantastic job recreating and expanding upon the original.

somehow more forgiving than the first game, unless you're doing the hardest difficulty. do what you will with that information.

Very interesting game that deals with religious trauma. Visually, it's not the most terrifying game, but I feel like it's hard to make good genuine visual horror lately. However, the sound design was very good and unexpected for an RPG horror game. I really apprecaite the audio placement and how the audio has been panned from different objects, circling the statue or the jukebox. It gives a very real but creepy atmosphere, which I think increases the frightening experience. The audio is by far my favorite part of the game. I also enjoyed the ending. I wasn't too invested in the story, but the ending had me at the edge of my seat. I look forward to seeing more of your games!
