update: yeah so found 2 GIANT flaws with the game, export ships have limited cpacity unlike previous games, so every time by the time you hit the modern area youll go into an unending debt because ships are taking industry items and no more raw materials netting you -$$. second major problem is teamsters dont work properly at all. not sure what they did to them from trop 4 but in that one, theyd choose industry buildings first and docks last, so if you have tobacco itd always go to the cigar factory (if you had one) then to the dock to make you more money. now in tropico 5 they just dump it randomly between the factory and the dock making the first flaw very very very apparent. another way teamsters suck is that they will rarely grab imports, they mostly leave them in the dock and eventually they clog up the dock like in the first flaw. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED, MAKE SHIPS HAVE UNLIMITED CAPACITY PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE THIS WOULD FIX MOST OF THE ISSUES



i liked this game i played tropico 3 and 4. 5 is a little different it dumbs down a lot of things making it hard to understand because it is very different, some new buildings and some old buildings. the buildings now are very squared off and fit better in the areas unlike trop 4 where everything exploded around your palace, now its everything is crammed into your palace. im not a fan of the export system because it requires multiple docks for import ships so your exports will be spread around 5 different docks making income hit or miss when a boat shows up, i liked trop 4 where it was you gave the dock an amount of money you were willing to buy imports like 15k and it would buy many different things your island needed to have based on which structures allowed raw material imports, now it is you have import ships for SPECIFIC items like 1 ship for iron, 1 separate ship for gold, and 1 separate ship for uranium, that means building 3 docks to support these ships. To make matters worse in 4 if you didnt have the money you couldnt buy imports, in 5 itll sometimes spend money you dont have on imports. im unsure how co-op works, the budget system as to the old trop4 version which was easy to understand, and im unsure how the manager system for buildings helps them function. the new military system is great and ACTUALLY BEING ABLE TO REPELL AN INVASION FORCE is the best as to in 4 its just you lose since you were invaded.
