THE colony sim game. I don't even like prison architect but this game is just so addicting, and that's just vanilla. Once you've got the hang of things, it's endlessly moddable to the point that some mod collections are essentially just more cool vanilla content. If you like base building and managing the folks in it, this is for you.
(warcrimes are optional.)

A very relaxing experience. Be careful though, it may suck up a lot of your time if you're not careful.

Clever, with beautiful graphics and music. Dialogue's good, too. The game takes full advantage of the fact that it is aware of you, the player. Unfortunately it's rather short, but a second playthrough can net you new dialogue, so that's a plus. My only real gripe is that other than Niko, characters don't stick around long enough to really be fleshed out imo.
still a solid 9/10 though. I enjoyed it a lot.

Undertale is a unique game, I'm not entire sure how to describe it. It is essentially an RPG that uses bullet hell mechanics, and gives you the option to fight or spare enemies, adding a great deal to what the player can do to impact the story. Just saying that doesn't really do it any justice, and the vast majority of positive reviews simply say "BUY THIS GAEM!!!!1! 1" with no further detail. Not really helpful.

Chances are you'll like undertale if you like charming characters, heartwarming (or if you're a genocidal maniac, terrifying) moments, gameplay that involves interaction (no mashing enter to skip through fights), a quirky, seemingly earthbound-inspired world and visuals, a beautiful soundtrack and plenty of other things I can't particularly put into words.

As much as I love it though, it's not perfect. The tutorial is clever in how it pokes fun at tropes, but at the same time it still retains the sort of boing tutorial-type feeling, which is hard to avoid. One fair warning: if you don't like the characters, the experience may not be as enjoyable, although I'd argue most of the characters are at best, fantastic, and at worst, bearable. The game also gets sorta meta towards the end, which some people may not like, but the way it handles the meta is actually creative and well-done.

Regardless, if you like traditional RPGs, Good story and soundtrack, bullet hell, choices that impact the story, you'll like Undertale. (Probably.)
TL;DR: Undertale is great.
