if you like to gamble, though, your odds of me accepting your friend request go up by 50%, meaning you have a 50/50 chance you wont get instantly blocked, however (comma), I will be chatting with you under the assumption you're a scammer and I will do my absolute best to waste your time. I treat everyone the same way: you're a scammer until proven otherwise. everyone I have in my friend list passed my arbitrary testing standards and earned their spot in said list, and not becoming a number in my blocked list.

I'll still try to waste your time if you really are a scammer, but try not to expect too much out the conversation if your scam tactic is a common one. examples are, but not limited to:

fake reports: oh, what's that? you accidentally reported me for some illegal activity and the only way to fix it is for me to give you my log in details/personal information? yeah, dude, that's totally how any of this works.

fake trades: oh, what's that? you want to buy my item(s) worth $0.30 and you want to pay me $20 because it's somehow super rare and the only way for you to pay me is for me to use some sort of obscure ass website that requires me to put my log in details to use any of it's features, like somehow requiring me to log in to the website just to use the search bar for some weird ass reason? yeah, sure, let me just log in and run the risk of you hijacking my ♥♥♥♥. I totally trust you, because no one ever lies on the internet!!11!1!111!!!!1

fake valve employees: oh, what's that? you're a steam employee and you wanted to let me know that my account has been flagged due to suspicious activity and I need to unlock it by going to a website, giving all my items for some sort of verification? uh huh, right, of course, because valve employees can't just access the item data/profile data on their end and somehow need to use a hastily put together WIX website just to verify my items and account details. good luck trying to trick my grandma with that

fake tournament invites: oh, what's that? you have a free spot in your team roster for some CS2 tournament and you urgently need someone to fill in that last free spot, with the catch that I have to register in some website just to get in? wow, I didn't know my ♥♥♥♥ skills at the game finally came to good use... somehow. yeah, sure, hire some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on steam who can't aim a gun worth ♥♥♥♥ in a video game to fill in a spot for some tournament. if you're hiring people like me, no wonder your team sucks. that's an automatic GG right there, buddy.
