Early Access Review
I was not expecting to like this game as much as I did, so I'm really happy that I gave it a chance!

In Go-Go Town, you play as a newly appointed mayor whose goal is to become the number one town nationwide! You build shops, convince new people to join your town, and manage the chaos. It can be a little overwhelming at first, but once you understand how each part of the town works together, managing the chaos becomes much more enjoyable!

One thing that was a bit of an issue for me was figuring out where to gather certain items in the game or how certain tools worked. Being that this game JUST released and is in early access, the wiki has some information but not enough. It'd be nice if there was a guide that noted where you can find certain materials or items, especially since there's so many!

Other than that, I love the game. The background music works almost like a radio and keeps it fresh. Movement around the game is the funnest thing ever! You have several different vehicles for movement but my favorite is the skateboard. You also have access to emotes in the game! All around, it makes this very enjoyable.

Something that I think could be a fun implementation for Twitch streamers is allowing viewers to show up in the town either as visitors or people that you can invite to move into town! I think that would be one feature that really amps this game up (though, it is still GREAT without this feature).

Good job to the team who made this!

Pine Hearts has to be one of the most delightful cozy games that I've played in a while. In Pine Hearts, you play as Tyke. Your goal is to climb the mountain, but in order to even start your journey, you have to prove yourself.

This game was wonderful from the sound track to the characters to the quests. I enjoyed everything about it. On top of that, the story was extremely touching as someone who has experienced loss before.

Highly recommend!

This game did not have to have graphics as good as these with music as epic as this. Definitely some areas that I felt could be improved (like the settings menu wasn't my favorite to navigate), but if you want something that takes an hour or two, this will scratch your itch. And the driving is so fun!

I want SO BAD to love this game, I really do. I love the story, the characters, the world, the mechanics, the artistry, the soundtrack, the fact that this is Co-op... but I can not recommend this game with the amount of bugs and crashes that I get.

I attempted to stream this game with a friend, but unfortunately did not have the best experience. The game had several bugs/glitches where one of us would get stuck somewhere and we'd have to exit the game to fix it. Other times the game would just completely crash for us, which was pretty disorienting when it happened 7 times over a three hour period.

Boti has so much potential to do well if the game didn't crash so much and have so many bugs. Maybe we'll see some improvement, but it's hardly enjoyable being interrupted every 30 minutes.

I'm having a hard time deciding whether or not I liked this game enough to recommend it. Overall, I believe it has a lot of potential, but there are a few issues that I had a problem with throughout the story.

First, there are definitely some bugs in the game, but it seems that developers are working really hard to fix those issues. There was a point in the game where following a very goofy scene, I wanted to return to my apartment, but was unable to enter. At this point, I was more than halfway through the game and no suggestions fixed the issue. A couple days later, the devs made an update and I was able to continue the story.

Secondly, the pacing of the story seems so slow at the beginning, then following an emotional plot point, the game seems to hit you with everything all at once. At the end of the game, there seemed to be all of the major drama and height of the plot, and then the game just... abruptly ends. I didn't believe it was the end. Not only did there seem to be no resolution after building up the story for so long, but I was left with A LOT of questions regarding those hard hitting plot points.

Third, while the mini games were enjoyable, there was no direct impact on the story, and there almost felt like there was no point to doing well or doing poorly if you were just going to get the same story regardless. Your patients don't react different, and Dr. K seems to treat you the same regardless of how well you scored.

Finally, and I think this might be one of the more important points, is that there were a ton of medical inaccuracies in the game. I streamed this game and had several medical professionals in my chat point out flaws ranging from the medical diagnoses & jargon to the hospital layout/structure. I understand that the game devs likely don't have a medical background, but I think it's really important that if the game is going to feature the medical industry that it be represented in the best, most accurate way possible.

Of course, there were several things I liked about the game as well. The soundtrack of this game is so lovely, and definitely deserves a lot more recognition. I'm also a big fan of the art style of this game - I mean, who doesn't love these adorably drawn characters?

In addition, while the technical aspects of the healthcare industry were off, the healthcare professionals that watched me play agreed that this game hits the nail on the head in regards to the emotional and mental impact that the industry can have. You'll definitely see the toll that working long hours, getting berated by colleagues and outsiders, and trying to balance a social life outside of work can have on anyone who works in healthcare.

I would like to also say that despite its flaws, Fall of Porcupine delivers a message that I think is really important - If we continue to allow corruption in the medical industry, underpay & overwork medical staff, ignore the mental health of medical workers, and berate those who are only trying to help, the system (and society) will fall. *added spoiler tag to this because it feels just a little spoilery*

All in all, I think Fall of Porcupine is worth a play through. Looking past my dislikes of the game, I think everyone should educate themselves on the trials & hardships that people in the healthcare industry face. This game does a great job showcasing exactly that, and I hope that this game helps spark the conversation of improving the industry as a whole.
