Helpful with quantifying the results of overclocking, settings changes, and new hardware. Buy it on sale, because often times the changes can't really be seen by the eye.

A more action oriented version of FO:3 and FO:NV. The fun comes from exploring the large world, stumbling upon different locations and figuring out what happened at the location before the war.

I am taking my time with this one. I am playing on survival mode and have not made it very far in the main quest line. I am focusing on side quests and am enjoying them.

A challenge in this one, as opposed to FO:3 and FO:NV is that you start with a lot less points to distribute at the beginning. That means you should strategize, as it will be hard to make a well-balanced character.

The one con, and for many people it is major, is that you are not a blank slate. Even in FO:3, when you were a valut dweller, you still had the freedom to be bad. There is less of that here. You do have to use the right dialogue at times to get a settlement to align with you or avoid a battle, but the outcomes do not feel as open-ended as the earlier Bethesda Fallouts.

Overall, it is a lot of fun and you always want to do more.

This game has good replayability thanks to the timeline and certain achievements/progressions that let you play at harder difficulty levels. It has a good mix of stealth and all out combat. For me, it had the right mix of damage- you don't die with one shot but you're not an invincible robot god, either. It is a fun game, runs very well, and is worth getting. I would recommend getting it during a sale, because the price has dropped a lot during the sales.

I got this game during a Steam sale - mainly to check out the graphics and give it a shot.
10 hours in, I've already shouted in shock / suprise a few times. This is definitely not a shooter - it is a stealth game. Be aware of that before getting it.

I would say the AI could be improved -- sometimes I have been able to creep up on humans when, in all honesty, I probably should have been detected.

This is not a fast paced game - but it does get your heart pumping. In the beginning, before there was really anything that could kill me, I had to spend some time finding my way to the next area and it got a little frustrating.

I am playing with an XBox 360 controller. I recommend it because there's not much need to aim and the analog sticks let you control speed. Also, the controller vibrations are useful once you get the motion detector.

The game runs great on my crossfire R9 290's. I run it on an OC'd monitor at 96 hz, 2560 x 1440. It mostly runs at 96, sometimes it dropsbut never below 60 on ultra except for AA -- and I am using the modified graphic engine .xml file found in the forums (just google alien isolation graphics mod).

It's a good blend of stealth and action- you can choose to fight or sneak. If you have performance issues, switch to DX 10 and turn off PhysX (especially if you don't have an Nvidia card).

It is fun for what it is, a DLC. It has replay value if you want to do it right- kill all the guards, not get detected, hide all the bodies, only make headshots, activate the proximity mines, and, of course, make the "Wow" challenge.
