for an early access imsim, this is a fantastic introduction. for the most part the game felt like it flowed together exceptionally well, the only part that ended up grating on me was the boss fights, in opposite ways. the midboss folded instantly, which, for the pace of most combat didn't feel too jarring, but was overall a little underwhelming. the final boss of the first level on the other hand kicked my ass for almost an hour. can't say i disliked either, but they felt like the weakest parts overall. i cant wait to see what else the game has in store, though

for as much as i dislike the decisions made surrounding the game, like the pre-order bonuses and the pay to win exclusive weapon upgrade ticket microtransactions released recently, the game owns so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard, and i love it. wish it were less scummy.

ive got mixed feelings on this one. the game is obviously pretty janky, but as a sort of spectacle psuedo-puzzle shooter its pretty fun. the game really fumbles the bag as it progresses, the first handful of missions where you're tasked with both saving civilians and murdering dudes are pretty fun, by as it goes enemies are replaced with ones able to move in the slowed time. this wouldnt have been as much of a problem, i feel, if most of them werent also bullet sponges that left me scratching my head trying to figure out how to squeeze out enough damage from my limited energy supply. like quite a few other people i wish this had a level editor.

its preddy good

This is so supremely up my alley, i love it so far.

the game has many outstanding issues, all of which have this point been exhaustively listed, but i find myself drawn to pick it back up every now and then. the gameplay itself is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ solid, and the development tree ended up feeling a lot less intrusive than i was expecting, not to mention ddog is in the game, so like... you have to get it. i even end up liking the story quite a bit, despite most of it being in tapes i didnt listen to initially, going back to them later on while clearing out some side ops ended up being fun.

tldr good game, would give it an 8/10 but it has ddog so 9/10

roguelikes are already my favorite genre of games to begin with, but this is a really fantastic addition to all the others. the combat, art, writing, all of it is top notch, like i expected. its really exciting to see something thats already this polished still being in early access, i cant wait to see the full release.
