Removing the ability to play the demo is ridiculous. The demo should be updated alongside the actual game so that I can see if the actual game is worth buying. I enjoyed the game, but there were a lot of mechanics that I found questionable so I couldn't justify purchasing it. Now when I want to see if anything has changed, the company basically uninstalled my game.

The art style is excellent, but the game play leaves much to be desired in the strategy department. In XCOM 2, initiating combat with an enemy squad has a near infinite amount of possibilities, but in Chimera Squad, you are given the intellectual equivalent of a multiple choice quiz via their breach mechanic.

The world this takes place in is subpar. Not only is it implausible, but it also removes a core element in previous XCOM games - fighting for humanity's survival.

The actual combat, beyond the initial entry, is also lack luster. There are so few unknown elements to it that it just gets boring. The missions don't ever feel important enough to actually care, and you're people can't die anyway, so you're never put in situations where you have to risk losing soldiers and there is never anything worth risking them for.
