long time stalker fan. this game aint it. good russian horror fps(barely) ♥♥♥♥ stalker game. mutants are absolute tanks for no reason. spawns are absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ often spawning on top of you or within like 25 meters. there is no roaming AI. there is no life like feeling to this zone. it is pretty to look at, thats about. there is no real substance to the game. missions are barely passable and sometimes just downright annoying. all in all if you are looking to play a real stalker game go back to anomaly or gamma.

Bring back multiplayer!!

Really wanted to like the game as its so beautiful graphically and once you get past the snooze of a beginning that takes entirely way too long doing mundane boring garbage tasks for people that they make up an arbitrary excuse for why they cant just go do it themselves the story actually gets kinda good and interesting. that being said the combat is just complete and utter ass, if you're fighting just one person it can honestly be very fun and even 2 opponents can be a fun challenge but 3 or more and there's literally no point to even trying. they will either stomp you into the dirt or run you down if you try to get away and THEN stomp your ass into the dirt. which can get very frustrating at times especially since even your first few missions that will pit you against any actual enemies give you 4-6 opponents. the combat controls themselves are just jank, theres no other word for it just jank as all hell. I've tried mnk and controller and neither made a difference I'm always missing combos because the system cant seem to differentiate between up and down and left and right accurately. it is also 100% a solo game, the only companion you can get is a dog that is utterly useless until you get the houndmaster skill to at least 5 for the sic perk so he'll actually do what the game tells you he will when you first get him. and after that he's still not really worth taking as all he does when not fighting is howl his head off and get in the way when you try to do literally anything else, and god forbid you try to stealth with him around he'll just run between you and whoever your trying to knock out/kill alerting them and the rest of the camp. the save system is also so utterly asinine it gave me a headache from the sheer stupidity of it. you cannot save whenever you want only when sleeping, quitting, starting a new quest or predetermined times during a quest. and if you would like to save you need a special alcoholic beverage that can be bought or brewed, dont want spend your money or time picking herbs and brewing potions to become an alcoholic just to save your game? too bad ♥♥♥♥ you dont save then. all in all it seemed like a great game with good potential held back buy ♥♥♥♥♥♥ systems and game mechanics.

i can look past the so so voice acting and mediocre graphics for gameplay in most games but the gameplay isnt even all that great either. enemies constantly teleporting and disappearing, mission objectives glitching out and not being able to be completed so you have to abandon the mission and restart the game and do the entire mission again just to see if it will work that tine. also not a large enough player base to do most of the group activities. some arkfalls can be solo'd but the larger ones or the wave based missions that pop up around the map are a chore to complete with so few people.

one of the best MMOs I have ever played. dont pay attention to that play time as i played long before it was available on steam. i have plenty of toons and more than 500$ sunk into this game. with that said i do not think you should download it until turbine decides to do a server merge and fix the lfg board as the server population is terrible and looking for a group is almost impossible due to the there being multiple groups in the lfg board that are unjoinable and just sit there for some buggy reason.

Edit: party board is fixed, game gets consistent updates and new content still. much multiclassing fun again. come join argonessen server and get yer dnd on.

really SOE, maybe you should do the server tests BEFORE the launch. i dont give a ♥♥♥♥ if its early access the game should work before you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ release it.
