OBS: Minor spoilers ahead.

Personally, I would divide the game's main story into 4 quarters.

The first half of the story was phenomenal. There was not a second I was bored. Constantly exploring hogwarts and its secrets. Doing main story mission revolving around going to classes, learning spells and interacting with other students. You could easily spend hours getting lost, as I did.

However, around the third quarter is where things, (for me), start to go downhill. In my opinion, It may be the ratio of main quests to side quests. With so many side missions accessible at this time, the major objectives almost feel diluted. (Depending on how you play.)

Contrarily, the fourth quarter is when things start to get interesting again. Avada Kadavra is taught to you during this quarter, and despite what everyone else says, it is actually "fun" to use. Paired with crucio it makes one hell of a combo.

I did encounter a handfull of visual bugs:
- The facial expression of an npc after a conversation would lack any form of emotion. As the face would transfom from talkative to being stern.
- Articles of clothing not being where they are supposed to be. This would normally be the robe glitching.
- The player model glitching. For exemple, the hands would stretch in a linear pattern towards a singular point when performing swift dash.
- Weird lighting on the snidget eggs. They would appear to have a square pattern repeating itself on the top half of the eggs.
- Both the save symbol and the field guide displayed the same type of bug. The lighting on the field guide's "main-page" has the symbol of the animal of your corresponding house. (I think). This lighting would glitch out and in a square outline, randomly display bits and pieces of this lighting. Although it was now very distorted. The save symbol would behave in a similar fashion.

Furthermore, throughout the game I also experienced significant performance drops.

Overall I would rate this 8.5 / 10.

Keep in mind that I haven't finished the game, and I don't plan to do so in the near future.

The only SoulsBourne games I haven't played are Demon Souls and Blood Bourne. Hopefully that will change soon. Out of DS1, DS3, Elden Ring, and Sekiro, DS2 is unquestionably the worst. It's not even close. I wouldn't rate the other games I've played below a 7/10. DS2 is at most a 3/10.

I think it's the areas that mostly contribute to the score. Each of them can be distinguished from one another and look cool.

Now, what brings this game down to a 3 however, is mainly the atrocious hitreg system. When you get hit, you hardly get staggered, you barely notice it. The i-frames are a disaster, you can't dodge properly because you keep getting phantom hit. It's unbearable. That's why fighting against magic is so annoying, because you don't know when or in which direction to dodge.

The bosses up until Iron Keep in my opinion were so incredibly boring, not even hard just lame. It felt like every boss was the same: "big guy with big weapon, implemented with a trash moveset". They weren't interesting at all. I honestly could not name one boss even if I tried.

The gameplay in general feels sluggish and unpleasant. I might come back to this game and finish it someday. However, after almost taking a year and a half break from it to then almost immediately uninstalling it, makes me never want to acknowledge that this game exists. This is From Software's worst game by a long shot. Couldn't even recomend the game to a diehard SoulsBourne fan.
