The gameplay itself is quite fresh for the series and the design they have went with is really fun and appealing. The gameplay itself is actualy alright, nothing crazy in terms of breaking the mold or anything. My negative review comes in that this game is so beyond buggy. Either animatronics never see you or somehow magically see you through walls. I have them glitch through shut doors and kill me, I have cameras not appear on the map in certain segments so you can no longer use them to spot where they are like intended. The one robot sees me 100% of the time through a wall when she walks through the one hallway. I've had freddy get stuck and teleport on loop countless times, and the security bots practically bump into you without alerting anyone. It goes between too easy and only difficult due to fighting the glitches. It may be only $40 but it is far too buggy in it's current state to get a good review. Once they patch some of the major issues I think it would be a solid 6.5/10

First of all, the graphics are really damn gorgeous for this remake, it really helps sell the atmosphere and the state of the city. the lighting and shadows really help give off the creepy vibe, and the sound effects of creaking floorboards or rain hitting the windows can send chills down your spine!

The gameplay mixes the action from 4 and the horror of 7 and it blends super super well, especially with no tank controls. There is many times were even when I was armed to the teeth I had to flee to save resources and not lose health. The tyrant stalking you is a big highlight, as much as I hated having him around the feeling you hearing his footsteps nearby, tucking yourself into a side room...praying he doesn't come in and take the last bit of your health. It's pressure that other games only wish they could replicate!


Multiple runs highly encouraged! a true return to Resident Evil, I have very high hopes for the series with this amazing title.

Fun and simple fighting game. You will get your butt kicked online though, be prepared for that!

Prepare to give all your money to valve, it's for the sake of the hats.
