For those who played Men of war and company of heroes should be familiar with most general mechanics.
This game has similar Men of war cover based system, ammo count, and vehicle damage display with company of heroes type unit squad selection, building cover system, and reporting movement or activities.

Ammo type do play a mechanic in this game for it mainly of what caliber it is and how much can it penetrate set target.
So a 5.56 or 9mm can easily handle robo doggys and homonculis (humanoid robots). However it ain't gonna scratch a actual terminator but a 50. cal or anything thats an autocannon could put them in there place. Vehicles is pretty much no brainer, Does the autocannon damage? > yes > lawn mower them, Does the autocannon penetrate them? > no > use anything related to HEAT (High Explosive Anti-Tank) shells.

There are 3 factions to choose from with there own play styles. Legion being a slow but sturdy robot faction, The Movement being mobile but squishy humans, and The Founders being humans with actual body armor, familiar military equipment, and vehicles.

If new to the game and you're starting off the game into skirmish believe me you will get swiss cheesed cause many mechanic are reviled to you in the story campaign (which so far I like). I was one of those people that play skirmish first then play story later to get the feel of the game.

Is this a good game? YES
Is it bugging out? Haven"t found one yet so far
Is it worth the price? I would say well worth


*Future road map ideas*
Would love to see maps with bigger team size and new factions or units.

Gave monkey assault rifle to do war crimes, massacre an entire lamball herd. 10/10

Wizard with a gun is a mix of genre's I can think of that is similar to the graphics of Don't starve, Hunt showdown but isometric with pve, and the meme of SHADOW WIZARD MONEY GANG.

*GRAPHICS*
Graphics are similar to Don't starve which when I saw this game I thought Klei was making a new game but its a indie studio with Devolver being the publisher and knowing devolver makes pretty solid games.
The art style of Wizard with a gun is most of the time eye candy.

*GAMEPLAY*
Being a roguelite survival shooter, The premise of the game is to reroll time and do as much as possible before the world goes to sh*t. You can increase time by killing chaos deposits and collect arcania to upgrade spells or equipment. The gimmick of this game is shoot what you see and collect resources to get better spells or enchantments. Literally everything needs to be shot at even the natural resources to get materials. Scanning is a thing too because to get new gear you need research and the only thing you have is a notebook that scans everything. Enemies are fun to face, some being goofy ahh easy to tryhard difficult. Some bullets(spells) can be used to charm the enemy and make them your pet and do your biding, Every pet that dies on you leaves behind a grave with a heart on it. There's a variety of spells to "cast" on enemies with no limit on which you can use as long as they're researched. So which ever wizard you want to be is possibly there for you to use.

*Game improvement ideas*
I thought this game is gonna be like hades but its kinda linear open-world. I saw the road map of this game and I'm hoping the free DLC's makes something similar to hades-ish dungeons as well as making it a challenge and I mean a serious one too. More content on the road map to make this game a blast to come back to. Maybe a modding system for people to go nuts on keeping the game alive and breathing but thats just me.


I give this game a solid 8/10, its a fun game to keep around and excited for more content to be ready.

NEVER in any horror game does anything jumpscare me in general. This game is the first, thank you coil-head for surprising me. 10/10 good to play with friends and randos alike!

Its a good frp game without any p2w mechanics, unless they use camo to hide in the bushes then thats a you problem.

Can we possibly see the french being involved as a playable faction? Would love to see funny bread frenchies going into the fray!

Also cause I wanna recreate foxhole warzone.

A wholesome game with a wholesome adventure. worth the $20
