This is an incredible game, but honestly, it still needs some polish. The plot is extremely compelling, and for the most part, it captures the enjoyment of DnD combat in a digital format (though be aware that some changes were made). It has extreme replay ability, and is both compelling for those who wish to have an immersive experience and for those that wish to have a power fantasy kind of setting.

My current major issues as of the time of this review relate to several quality of life bugs that are frustrating to the point of nearly wishing to put the game on hiatus until more bug fixes are released.

The biggest issues I have encountered involve 1) major camera issues in areas where verticality is a significant feature. 2) Lack of accurate player feedback for both mechanical actions (jumping in particular) and in story actions (especially in Wyll's story). and 3) Lack of auto-save points during major quests resulting in significant loss of progress without knowing to save constantly. 4) Inability to allow others in multiplayer to utilize their own skills during dialogues.

The devs have shown that they are consistently fixing problems, and much of this likely comes with pushing a release date up, but I do absolutely question how some of these things got past testing. Jumping, in particular, is consistently buggy in regards to railings which are present through all areas of the game. The camera and player feedback issues are readily apparent once you have your first combat in large indoor areas, and there's little way to compensate for these problems outside avoiding playing specific classes / using specific spells.

It's just very frustrating. The core of the game is so incredibly amazing, but the bugs present are visible in a way that seriously hampers the player experience. If you want to experience the sheer amazement of this game's plot and mechanics I would wait a couple weeks for bug fixes.
