Now, let's address the elephant in the room first: Yes, this game is difficult.
If you like games where you can breeze through and be done in 20 hours, this isn't a game for you.

However
If you like a challenge
if you like the feeling of accomplishment when you kill a boss
if you don't mind getting stuck into the skill tree to figure out where to go with your character
then this is most definitely the game for you!

P.s. I'm a 61 year CRPG gamer.
Aside from a few hours of the original Diablo, I have NEVER played an ARPG...and I'm having a blast.
If an old fart like me can succeed in this game, you can too :)

Total noob to ARPGs, I got infected by the PoE 2 hype and decided to try PoE 1 to get my feet wet.

Pros:
-Very nice pacing
-Combat felt interesting
-Dying early on does not harm you (yes, I died A LOT)

Cons:
-The level-up tree is intimidating and you might want to look on the web for help (I sure did)
-The orb mechanic is not exactly intuitive (again, the web came to the rescue)

Overall, I'd give it a 6.5 to 7 out of 10 (above average to good).

RtW3 is a very detailed, very in-debt naval warfare game that combines managing your budget in order to maintain your fleet and build new ships and then fight the wars that pop up with the fleet you build.
.
If you are into naval warfare during the age of battleships, dreadnoughts and carriers and don't demand fancy graphics, this is most definitely the game for you!
If, on the other hand, fancy graphics are necessary for you to have fun with a game, then this is _not_ a game for you.

Definitely captures the spirit of the P&P RPG.

A good 4x Space Strategy Game.
If you're into stuff like Aurora 4X, Stellaris or have fond memories of Master of Orion 2, this is a game for you.

Yes, there are issues (fleet movement and ship type management, I'm looking at you), but over all, with close to 60 hours in, I already had my money's worth of fun - and I'm far from finished with the game.

Also, be aware that some people experience crashes - I haven't had one however, so I can't comment on that.

While there are a couple of bugs around (some _really_ annoying), this game has a _ton_ of potential.
I would recommend the game, but in the current state, only to naval-war enthusiasts (like, if you like Ultimate Admiral: Dreadnought, Rule the Waves, or are a veteran of the old Task Force 1942 or the Naval Battle series from the 90s, this is a game for you).
If you are more of a casual (I don't mean that negative) player of strategy games, you might want to sit on this for a month or three before jumping in.

This is a rather easy review. If you like turn-based strategy/tactics game, get this NOW.

Hey, the game is out, I'm, playing - who has time for a long-winded review :)

This isn't really my kind of game, even though I remember the old days where this retro game would have been state of the art - actually, that's probably _why_ it isn't my kind of game anymore (you know, age and all that).

BUT, Imagos deserves my support and "The Person That Shall Not Be Named" deserves my middle finger
