There are a lot of unique differences in Monster Hunter Rise that separates it from previous titles, which is great for someone looking for a new experience. Personally the "rampage" missions haven't blown me away and I hope they are exclusive to this title.

The locales are always a joy to explore and harvesting times are faster than ever - you can tell there's a lot of thought that goes into the map which helps immerse the player. Compared to classic titles (excluding MHW) this felt closer to an "open world" thanks to the addition of Wirebugs, allowing you to scale the mountains. Travelling on the Palamute is just fantastic!

As a keyboard/mouse player I would suggest diving into the keybindings / menu settings a few times at the start to really personalize the experience, the amount of customization in the menus is satisfying and amplifies gameplay.

If this game is on sale when you see it and you are a fan of BERSERK then you should just pick it up.

The animation and graphics are nice to look at and it definitely brings a new experience to the anime. I enjoy this as a casual "I don't want to stress about anything and I want to HACK and SLASh hoards of enemies" kind of game - it is fun, the combos are smooth and in my opinion movement is responsive.

An issue I read about and noted was the fact that it would be more enjoyable with a controller. I spent a bit of time adjusting my keyboard controls to make it work and I found it OKAY to play through the introduction and first mission, I could go through and make further adjustments /or/ just use a controller (then i'd have to leave the house to buy one *UGH*)...

You do not need a high-end PC build to run this but everything still looks nice!
I don't think there will be any complicated puzzles but you could still challenge yourself by increasing the difficulty. I think it is just a simple and enjoyable title to play and to watch - although I don't think it's worth full price.

I've been a fan of this series while growing up and this installment, while different from previous titles, still held it's own.
I have hundreds of hours on my console version of the game, just recently I was able to pick it up for PC and I'm not disappointed! It's like I'm playing it again for the first time.

Monster Hunter World is atmospheric and just as captivating as the rest of the series.
A big positive to the game would be that everything feels quick, you're spending less time with repetitive tasks and more time fighting.

I have always loved the movement in these games, the progression in difficulty is perfect, and there's always things to come back to!
Varieties in armors and weapons are satisfying and the grind to get them can be daunting, it really creates a sense of worth to your armor sets.
Time limits on quests can be a turn off for some, but it is such a rewarding feeling when you notice that after each fight you get faster and more efficient.

I will always feel sad for the limping monsters but the hunt must go on </3
