After playing for over a year now I can solidly say: "Pretty good if you like MMOs".
One of the best MMOs on the market right now. They still have a very active community and support from the devs.
My biggest con with this game is the time investment you will need to get to certain content.
If you're looking into playing this game, try it and set goals for yourself.

Edit: 2 Years now and I can firmly state that it has still been a blast with friends and the community. They have attempted to reduce the grind and even let you have more free content with Stormblood being apart of the Free trial. It's still my favorite MMO to date and worth the time.
