There really aren't many games out there with a world quite as heartbreaking and intriguing as SOMA.

This game mixes story with horror excellently and while there are not that many enemies in this game, they are all unique with different counters and they don't appear so much that they annoy the player and take away from the experience, they add to the environment and genuinely made me panic so much when I saw them. The game is also not very intrusive and you have to figure out most puzzles by yourself which was mostly a good thing but I did sometimes feel a little lost while trying to progress. The best part of the game by far is the story and the environments you get placed in, I won't spoil the story but it's incredibly intriguing and sad and the game constantly throws new thought provoking twists at the player any time you think you have the answers for everything, I had to sit there for a few minutes after the game ended to really take everything in and make sense of it all. I cried at the ending and I had multiple panic attacks.

No game has ever made me as emotional as SOMA has...
Go play the game, it's a masterpiece!
