Dr. Maxis, father of Samantha Maxis, worked alongside Edward Richtofen and Group 935 to research the creation of super soldiers. When things between him and Edward got out of hand, he used the teleporter (see Edward Richtofen) to take him and Samantha to the moon. When Richtofen meets Maxis and Samantha at the moon, he kills Maxis. Later, while Richtofen tries to finish his "Grand Scheme" (The Big Bang), Maxis finds ways to stop him.
