It pains me to see how much discourse there is within this community that plays Warthunder and Gijian is outright being stubborn and blinded by their own greed to slowly inch the in-game rewards to a state worse than before. And what disappoints me even further is that I believe this is an exceptional game that is being held back by its developers. Back during 2018 when I actually started grinding the game I really wanted to get to top tier U.S.A and Germany, so I gave in and bought a premium account and a few premium vehicles. And although it took me a couple thousand hours to finally get and spade tanks like the M1A2 and the Leopard 2A6, I somewhat kinda enjoyed the grind where climbing through the ranks and building lineups gave me a sense of completion and joy to have an edge in battle through my grind. Now I'm trying to get through the Russian and British tech tree and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the the grind is terrible now. Even with rank 6 premiums and a premium account I've barely made it out of rank 5 with both trees and I feel dissatisfied with every game I play. I've only receive a mere fraction of the SL and RP I would get back when I started and I'm a significantly better player than before getting a higher average score per game than the typical player. I've always been undecided when I came to recommending people this game, but after Gijian's response to the player base after the planned economy change I can say that the future for this game isn't bright. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time with this game .
