This game really suprised me. It's lighthearted, funny, and doesn;t take itself serious.
Highly recommend if you look for a goofy version of doom

When i started playing this game, i thought i would be playing a think outside of the box point and click puzzle game, combined with some snarky and funny dialogue. The more the story progressed, i felt more sad for the characters involved and a sense of hopelessness of not being able to help.

Although not long, this story is something i would definetely recommend to people, as its way of telling is amazing and touching.

This is one of the best stories in a shooter ive ever played. The way it twists your own actions against you and judges you for it is amazing. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes a darker story or thinks that all military shooters are about American heroes doing nothing but good stuff.

In general, i would say its a decent game. Not terrible, not fantastic. Story is decent, game play is pretty fun and there is quite some story to the locations and characters.

However, there are a few reasons for me why I wont recommend this game,
First reason saving and checkpoints on highest difficulty is flat out broken. I have no clue when I get a checkpoint, manually saving the game does ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Thought using campfires saved the game, but had more then one crash (get to that later) that just made an hour of gameplay gone, by placing me back at the point where i started during that session. I dont mind a low number of checkpoints, but they have to work and point out when theyre made, because as it is, its just bloodboiling annoying.

Second point, the janky controls and hitboxes. I cant recount the amount of times Lara just plunged to her death because i didnt do the jump pixel perfect, while other times i get teleported to the walls while i expected it to miss. Other times i just died got somewhat close to an obstacle during one of those slide parts. It was really bothering me to the point that i ragequited on multiple occasions, because doing the same part for the 10th time because the game didnt feel respected enough really gets on your nerves.

Final part, crashes and performance. I dont get it, i just dont. Some parts in jungle run at 160 fps with no issue other parts struggle to the point that my game has short freezes. And on top of that, it randomly just crashes and closes itself, losing all progress because the savesystem doenst work.

If you think the game looks good, go for it. I can see the appeal with the exploring of the ancient temples and i too wanted to experience that, but i got to the point where i felt "♥♥♥♥ this retarded game" and wouldnt advice you spending 60 dollars/euros on this ♥♥♥♥.

Great game with nearly unlimited character building options.

Every now and then they release a new league with a fresh start for everyone, so you can start anew, which keeps the game somewhat fresh.

Only complain i would have is that the endgame gets a bit repetative

Its Bioshock. If you havent played it yet, treat yourself. if you have, it looks better then the first one so treat yourself.

People are complaining about crashes, but 10 hours in, and i have yet to experience one

Subnautica is one of those real niche games. Some people (including me) absolutly love it, but i suspect most people dont care too much for it.

The artwork and world design is beautiful. Although the graphics are a bit simple and cartoony, the world still looks stunning. Every biome has its own unique characteristics and fibe. The creatures look destinct and are able to make you feel puny and insignificant.

The story itself is decent enough to make this not a basic survival game. The game gives you a purpose and endgame, something alot of other survival games miss.

The only real compain i could think about is that its sometimes really unclear what the current objective is, or where to find certain materials to upgrade your gear with.

All in all, i can recommend this. If not for the game itself, then for the experience the world offers by swimming through it.

I've played this series since the first game, and i have to say, it might be one of my favorite games of all times. If you like shooters, but you hate the seriousness of most modern shooters, you should give this game a try.

Another thing i really love about this game is the story and characters. the game explains a lot of the background of the world, events and characters through quests and collectable items.

The gameplay itself is pretty solid. Sometimes it can be a bit broken or underwhelming by either underpowered or extremely overpowered weapons you find by luck. The classes seem to be fairly balanced, with each class being able to become very powerful with different possible builds.

The only real downside to this game in my opinion is replayability. after you finished the game once or twice, it loses its charm and can become a bit boring.
