years ago a research ship called the Carpathian II crashed right into an iceberg in the arctic circle. Alekthehero was a stowaway. The captain was hysterical, sobbing as the ship took on ever more freezing water. He gave the captain a good one across the face, then grabbed some rope. He lashed the ropes around the ship and tethered it to his body. He swam for five days through the arctic circle, breaking through the ice with his face until they reached port. +rep, good guy, flawless butterfly stroke
