This game brilliantly portrays the horror of battle. The great battles of history: Thermopylae, Cannae, Hastings, Vienna, Yorktown, Waterloo, Gettysburg, Stalingrad, D-Day, all captured in essence by this gaming experience. The shear horror of these great battles are equaled by Paunch. Nay... What can these epic clashes dream to compare to Paunch's shear savagery. Paunch transcends the limits of our battles of flesh and blood. Paunch captures perfectly everything that combat truly is. Two men... One arena... Stones and Fists... The stage is set for pure primal carnage... That is Paunch, an epic competition of strength and will that does not spare us of the harrowing, nightmarish details.

Boys who go off to war come back as men. Men who go off to Paunch come back as husks. The Paunch experience is truly one of a kind. Life changing, scaring, shocking, Paunch is all these things.

Since the first day I experienced Paunch, I often way awake and restless at night. My mind is filled with thoughts of the horror and brutality of battle, but also of the heroism and virtue of the countless men who have fallen throughout the ages. Paunch is truly enough to make any veteran cry. Cry for his fallen comrades. Cry for the pain and brutality he has witnessed. Cry for the heroes he met along the way. Cry and long for simple yet brilliant elegance of battle.

don't do what I did. Make sure to talk to captain bernard so that you can learn about master strikes. beat the whole game first play through without knowing this.
