DS3 is one of the few games I feel compelled to write an actual review for as it introduced me into what is now my favourite gaming genre (and series) of all time

I'll be brief because there are a trillion other reviews out there that will go into everything I've mentioned below but in orders of magnitude more detail

-soundtrack
The music in this game would NOT feel out of place in a lost Beethoven or Mozart Discography

-visuals
They still hold up, obviously not as impressive as Elden Ring but that's a given considering it's nearing 9 years old

-story
There is no 'good' ending which is a perfect way to close off the series. Fundamentally, the story is quite similar to DS1's story but has enough nuance to distinguish it and make it interesting in its own way

-handling
DS3 is by far the best handling Souls game. Both the combat and movement feel so fluid and refined compared to the other two games

-enemy design
Very little complaints. The game is full of a huge variety of unique and interesting enemies. There are only a couple enemies in the entire game I would consider a determent to the experience - as in - the game would be better off without them. One example being the jailers in irithyll dungeon. They're only there to artificially extend your time in the dungeon and I think prove that sometimes Fromsoft gets 'straight up annoying' and 'challenging but fun' confused

-boss design
DS3 has by far the best bosses in the series, but I'm going to be a negative nancy again and only talk about the irritating ones
ALDRICH
Annoying projectile spammer
CRYSTAL SAGE
Annoying projectile spammer
TWIN PRINCES' SECOND PHASE
Annoying projectile spammer
SOUL OF CINDER SOMETIMES
Annoying projectile spammer

Have you figured out I'm bad at dodging yet?

WOLNIR
Either the hardest or the easiest boss in the game depending on if he wants to breathe out his nasty fart gas and instakill you or not

-armour and weapons
DS3 allows for a lot more build variety than the previous two titles. Every weapon in the game is viable for PVE if you have a build to support it. PVP is slightly different, you CAN get by without a meta build but if you're bad like me, you won't have a great time. I will say though, INT and FAITH both feel slightly redundant in this game. Not to an extent where they're not worth playing, but to an extent where you WILL think to yourself; "huh.. my wizard guy felt a lot more powerful in the older games". It may just be that the schools of magic were overpowered in the previous two games.

DS3 also has the best fashion souls of the 3 games, with a lot of room for mix-matching armour sets to make the drippiest character possible. It's not on the same level as Elden Bling, but definitely the best we had until Elden Bling was a thing.

-dlcs
Ashes of Ariandel is a good DLC for sure, but The Ringed City is definitely the better of the two. It honestly feels like a very early Elden Ring build. 2 of the 3 best bosses in the entire game come from The Ringed City, Gael and Midir. Father Ariandel and Sister Friede are definitely the best of AoA, and they are a close contender for the 3rd best boss fight in the entire game (I've given that spot to Nameless King)

-conclusion
Everything here is my own opinion obviously, but I think 99% of people out there (or 92% of people, according to the steam reviews) will agree that this is an awesome game. DS3 will always be a classic and one of my personal favourites.
