This game is genuinely a masterpiece, and is singlehandedly responsible for my obsession with rogue-likes. This is one of the only games I have achieved 100% completion on (and I've done it on Steam and Xbox). Even after "completing" the game, I still feel like there's so much more for me to do. I feel like I could spend another 1000 hours playing this game and not get tired of it. Every boss, item, gun, NPC, and enemy in this game is oozing with charm and creativity. My only gripe with this game is that multiplayer is relegated to local co-op. Other than that slight inconvenience this game is 10/10 completely perfect.

This game used to be so much better a few years ago. I have no idea why they would shrink the map so much. The movement used to be so much more strategic, having to balance enemy positions and movement with your own, trying not to get too far away from the bomb spawns while still trying to stay safe. Now instead of freely being able to go wherever you want you are confined to a tiny little circle. Why would they do this? Why not just make separate game modes, one with an infinite map and one with a confined space. Not to mention stuff like removing guns other than the machine gun. It seems like this game has just been slowly being stripped of features for seemingly no reason. The dev really seems like he's just shooting himself in the foot.

If you are looking for an extremely dumbed-down, slower, more floaty, more campy version of Smash Bros then this game is for you. I was gonna say the only advantage of Brawlhalla over Smash is that Brawl is free but you can just get Slippi and play Melee (the best Smash game) for free. Every time I start playing Brawlhalla I always end with just wanting to play Smash because it is so much more polished and fun.
