This game is awesome just make sure to be mentally prepared. This game is brutal, and causes for much experimentation and makes me think of the tank control resident evil games in the horror. First 7 hours of this game was probably the most fun I had in any game in a very long time. I was terrified of the unknown and what the enemies would do to me if I had lost a fight. One of the things that make me think this game works much better in the horror aspect than it's sequel was that fear of the unknown and what will these monsters do to me. The lizard guard death was one of the ones that I had gotten along with both the guard ones. I understand the sexual violence is a hard subject to talk about however I think it is apart of the horror as it is one of the scariest things that could happen to a person. My biggest issue with this game is that you are a little too powerful by the end of the game. You can still die for sure but its not near as common as how often it happens at the start. The easy save bed at the tower I also kinda disliked. At least with the crow mauler bed you needed to earn it by killing crow mauler who is a very difficult fight if you don't know how to fight him. Even if you do know how to your party will likely suffer from irreversible damage such as broken bones or blindness if you didn't prepare properly. The start of the game was definitely better than the end but the end is still so fun all the bosses at the end of the game are difficult. I almost wish there was a mode harder than terror and starvation that's not hard mode because I often don't want to beat the whole game in one sitting. My brother jokingly said I don't like normal hard games I like sadistic games but in my mind I don't really think of it like that (maybe that just makes me a masochist) I really just find it difficult yet fair. Knowledge goes above all else in this game so it just takes time to learn.
