Favorite Immersive Sim ever

There's a decent amount to unpack about this game but I do want to preface this with a quick message.

If you don't have six friends to play this game with, you're not going to have nearly as much fun, as from the other reviews you can probably tell that the overall playerbase is kinda toxic. Stick to your friends circle on this one.

With that said....This is a really great game to screw around in with your friends. If you're into games like Among us or maybe Gmod TTT this'll be really great.

I didn't really know what to expect with this game. But, boy was I surprised. Subnautica is a game that balances exploration, survival, and scary monsters in a way that can only be described as perfection. Its worth every penny.

I'm Playing this game again after beating it when it launched. I rarely replay single player games. This is hands down my favorite this year.

Pros: the story is great, it's got lots of twists and the side activities are great.
Talos 1 is an amazing setting. It feels like a lived in place.

The biggest pro is probably exploration, I never felt like there was no solution to a problem that I already had. don't have a keycard and your hack isnt high enough, break the glass behind the door and shot the button with the foam crossbow. wanna bypass a door thats too small. turn into a cup and roll on in. if you see a potential solution to your problem, it usually works.

cons: my only con doesn't last long. Preys combat is a bit undercooked at first. You have to annoyingly flail a wrench at the tiny mimics and its pretty annoying. when you start upgrading and getting new abilities, Prey's variety eexpands to the combat, which becomes very satisfying.

Overall, this game is fantastic.

This is a really good time waster, Especially with loads of mods. Though the special edition looks better you can achieve something similar with mods on the original ( this one). Plus its mostly cheaper.

Steep learning curve but fun once you get the hand of it
