OSRS is a great game when you are listening to something, but still want to relax and play something in the same time. It's a game full of charm and it's constantly updated. Do keep in mind you have to LOVE to grind if you want to enjoy this one, though!

Update 1: (22.11.2023.) Currently grinding my ass off mining coal. 10/10!

At the time of writing this review, I played 82 hours of this game. It is the most played game in my whole Steam library. Naturally you would think I had very much fun in this game. Well, while I wouldn't say that whole time was wasted, and I met a very interesting person while playing, most of the time was spent grinding. And I don't hate grinding, I think grinding is needed in MMORPG-s for players to feel the sense of accomplishment, because they are using time and effort to achieve progress. Problem with EVE Online and grinding is the fact that Eve Online actually isn't free to play game. Sure, there are ways you can prosper as a free player and even earn Omega time, but they are very time consuming or specific. For example, old players will tell you that if you know what you are doing and have some luck, you can earn enough money for subscription by exploring in a week. But you don't know what you are doing. You are a new player. And what if I don't want to explore? What if I want to mine my way to subscription? Well, good luck with that. 80% of my play time was spent mining and I still don't have enough money to buy 1 month of subscription. And the point where I realised that even if I bought the subscription and trained myself to be able to drive a better mining ship in which I can mine more ore faster, in return my cargo hold is a lot smaller, I decided to drop the game. This is not RuneScape where you can do what you want on your own and become a farming legend about which one day articles will be written on PC Gamer. No. You mostly depend on other people and interacting with them. Solo play, in the strict sense of playing the game, won't get you very far. So you are forced to cooperate and you still have to have a subscription, without which I really see no point playing, because a LOT of content is behind subscription and you can't do anything significant as a free player.

But even so... If EVE Online was a healthy environment filled with friendly players, all that wouldn't be an issue. And truth be told, there are some nice people and I met a really special girl who helped me with earning money and really cool conversations are constantly happening all over the EVE Online universe. It's a truly great place to socialise. But there are also bad people and they overshadow the good experiences.

Let me just tell you one story about that subject, I think it will be more than enough for you to picture what we are talking about. I just started playing the game. I had a starter mining ship and I went to a nearby edge of space with a lower security to mine some more valuable ore. So, basically, I would be considered level 1 in this scenario, right? Well, that didn't stop someone from attacking me in that low security space, even though he could see I was mining ore in a beginner's ship. I had nothing on me which the attacker couldn't earn himself in 15 minutes of effort, and that is saying much. It felt really sad. I just sent him a message and asked him is he happy with himself and did he have fun. Later, when I returned to the game and mentioned the incident in newbie chat, I got a private message from a player who started explaining to me that I am the one who isn't right in this story, and that people love PVP and the feeling of the hunt and sense of hunting other players in a sense of role playing, so it's MY fault because I didn't learn about the game and learned how to protect myself from people like that. Let me repeat that. There are. People. In this game. Who think. It's fun to kill other players. Just for the fun of it. For the thrill of the hunt, so to say. Imagine going to the kindergarten and beating some kids to death and saying to the police you are doing it for fun. "Oh, OK mister, we are sorry, we didn't know that, have fun!" It just seems wrong. So I though to myself, if this person attacked me as a beginner and he was alone, it's not hard to imagine what bigger groups of people can do to someone they don't like. It's a wicked system of risk and reward, but as a free and solo player who wants to mine, reward is sparse and the risk is great. Basically, you have to play the game the way the system wants you, not how you want to play. And is that a sandbox then? It's the same thing with meta in MMORGP-s. In limit's creativity. Is this game truly a sandbox if I can't even earn sand in that sandbox without teacher and the other kids telling me how I should do that?

In conclusion. I don't think this is a bad game on it's own. If this game had a private server where everyone is equal, I wouldn't mind. But if you don't pay, this game is very punishing and hard and full of people who are living their twisted fantasies of being space pirates and tyrants and you should keep that in mind. I recommend you at least try it for yourself or try to use it as a chat room for talking with SF nerds. But if you want to seriously play, you will have to pay for the subscription or learn how to most efficiently grind it out in a way that may not necessary be fun to you. Because of that, ultimately, I cannot recommend this game as just that. Game. To play. You know, for fun.

I spent my childhood playing PWI. Most of the people you ask about that game, they will tell you it's a Chinese p2w game. But to me, it was a home. A MMORPG where you needed to grind but was rewarded for that grind. You would spend 2 hours questing and then swoosh*, a level up! And you got stronger and felt good! And there were many MMORPG-s like that. It was a golden age of f2p MMORPG-s. Runes of Magic was in it's prime, Florensia, 4Story and many more. And it was good. Among them, there was Vindictus. Not a traditional MMORPG by any means, but a combat focused one, with small arenas. And it wasn't perfect. It was p2w and grindy, but so were all f2p MMORPG-s. And we still played them and loved them. Then the years passed. Populations on those MMORPG-s got smaller and the devs wanted to somehow ease the starting experience for new players. They wanted to speed up the grind, the sole thing that made their game, to attract more people to that legendary endgame content everybody hypes so much in MMORPG games. Some developers like those of PWI redesigned starting experience of the game, and completely made starting areas of every race obsolete, giving you the best gear sets for every bigger main mission and filling your inventory with exp boosts and other things. Vindictus kept all of the poorly looking and small areas from the start of it's career, but strategy is the same. Bigger quest rewards and item sets and you are blazing through the content overpowered and not even feeling the grind. And that, believe it or not, is bad. I was level 20 while I wasn't even pass the main story which doesn't allow me to go to higher level areas. It doesn't feel rewarding. It's painfully boring. Which is a shame, because there is a decent combat beneath all of this, but I just can't. I played for 3 hours and I was level 3. Half of that 3 hours I spent in loading screens and running around town. Level 20! I miss the old days of Asian MMORPG-s where economy mattered and you had to work for stuff. Now it's just a race to the endgame grind. And that hurts me. Because it's a shame what those developers done to their own games. It's just a game filled with costumes for dressing up your waifu now. And it could have been so much more. As could all of these games. At the end, I know there are some of you who feel OK with this approach and will gladly play a game in this kind of state. But to me it's so sad and heartbreaking, like I'm watching a corpse of game. Game is not dead in the player department, but I can't recommend it to anyone. It's old (and not old in OSRS or Everquest, quality kind of way, but a bad way of old), boring, badly optimised, full of loading screens and filled with fast and meaningless progress and cosmetic items that are probably the only thing keeping the game alive at this point. I recommend you to rather install some mobile "MMO", play it for 2 days, scratch that quick progress itch and delete it from your phone. It's a lot more painless experience than Vindictus currently. 5/10!

I am a devoted fan of big mammary glands, so though I initially resisted, I had to try this game. Waifus are nice, though some of them really look grotesque more than attractive, since they really defy the laws of physics in term of how big their attributes are. Regarding gameplay, it's like Vindictus, but even more limited. There is very little actual content in the game, with less than 10 chapters (5 levels each) and not one level took me more than 5 minutes up to chapter 5 (which I got to in 3 hours). There are some other activities, like daily quests and events (which are special chapters), but nothing too crazy. Combat feels OK, but not as good as you would want it to be. I think upgrading your characters to lower skill cooldowns makes the game more fun, but it still sometimes feels clunky. Fan service is big, there are costumes for characters and you can even make them pose in special room with decorations. I decided to not keep playing because some players who played more than me are talking about content hidden behind paywalls and insane amount of grind if you are free player. So I needed to ask myself. Are you ready to grind for hundreds of hours and play the same levels over and over again just to level up your waifus, upgrade their gear, supporter and buy them costumes? Not really. There are better mobile games for that, which have better f2p policy. I still recommend "Action Taimanin" for all of you who like bigger women, but don't really expect to masturbate to this or make it your main game, because you will be disappointed by repetition and insane amounts of mindless grind in later stages.

RuneScape is essentially a fantasy capitalism simulator. Sure there are quests (which are really good) and other MMORPG stuff like PvP and clans and so on, but let's face it boy. It's all about those big piles of millions of gold coins. You will start by gathering for membership bond. But you won't stop there. You will want more! You will become an addict living to see your wallet amount rise as you level up your skills allowing you to perform even more lucrative tasks! You will become Bill Gates of the game! A tycoon! A GOD! But you have to like the grind. This is a game for relaxation and grinding. If you don't like to grind, then simply avoid the game. There is also an older version of this game, Old School RuneScape, which is a little bit different, but we can sum it up in that the OSRS is slower, while this newer version has faster progression, but in return prices are inflated. Both are great games and I recommend them to you if you like to grind.

It's Quake 3 mixed with hero shooters. Gameplay isn't that bad, graphics are cool and it isn't pay to win, so you can earn all of the things you want by playing. So what are the problems with this game? Firstly, anyone who is even a little familiar with Quake will notice how much of a bad decision is this hero idea. It breaks the balance of once perfect flow of action where even first time playing noob could stand a chance against a veteran, if he used the mechanics good. Not everyone is equal and it doesn't feel natural to the game. Second and most important, the game has server issues and while I can cope with Quake veterans somehow, I can't cope with lagging Quake veterans. Speaking of them, since there are so little players (around 300 players at this time), you will constantly play with or against the same veterans and I can tell you that playing MOBA games against smurfs is more enjoyable than this. They will oneshot you and outplay you in seconds, chaining kills, resource and map control with overpowered hero skills. That makes killing them so much satisfying. Word of advice: Use the gauntlet... These guys are so full of themselves that they forget that thing exists and solely focus on showing their shooting skills, so when you butcher them, it's so satisfying when that "humiliation" pops up. It's still free and fun, but it's just sad how chance of glorious return of arena shooters was destroyed by idea of competition with other games on the market. Still, if you don't have anything better to do, or don't have money for Quake Lite or Quake 3, give it a chance... Just be ready for disconnections, being destroyed and lagg...

So, you want to play "Albion Online" son? Now, let's see are you koalified (pun intended)...

Do you want storyline, cinematics, races, classes, quests, fast leveling, pointers and exclamation marks? If the answer is yes, then please, AVOID this game. You won't find any of that, except the tutorial quests, which introduce you to mechanics.

Do you want to do what you want, pick a proffesion you want, change a class on the go and GRIND, GRIND and GRIND like in Old School Runescape untill your poor donkey loaded with wolf's hides can barely walk to the town where you process your resources into more worth resources with which you craft more worth equipment and get criminally underpaid for an hour you just spent gathering those resources while every premium player is watching you with disgust, but you don't care because you are living in Balkan or some other God forgotten place and you are student and don't have money income? And then you want to do that some more? If the answer is yes, CONGRATULATIONS!!! You found yourself a perfect MMO!

Play it for relaxation and fun. It's not a rush MMO. EVERYTHING takes time. You can progress as a f2p, but it takes time and grind. And if you don't like to grind, I don't know what are you even doing here.

You like to grind son?! Are you tired of free bonus exp., materials, gifts and other kind of things that ruin the effort put into leveling?! Well, step right up, because after 5 minute cluttered tutorial you will be greeted with a free to play Cubeworld type of game, full of infinite dungeons to grind and loot to, erm, loot... It's cool, fun, fast and fluid and I do recommend it :)

This, my ladies and gentleman, is a game which a GOD of YT criticism declared a good digital board game, while he was still alive. It's a game so heavy on RNG, that it makes Darkest Dungeon feel fair and casual. And it's also competitive like Monopoly, UNO, Risk and Ludo combined. Perfect game for family play, kappa. Expect some strategy, but not a lot, since all of it is like a big game of gambling and risking. Art is cool, music is great, quotes on cards are good and most importantly, game is fun! And there are enough players to play multiplayer, so go on ahead... Buy it! Play it! Love it! Cherish it! Rest in peace, TB <3

Gun play is good, maps, feel and animations are great, and I can only dream what would become of this if someone made a randomly generated FPS/RPG out of this. Other than that, it has problems all source games do, like sudden DC-s, enemies not taking damage from your bullet when you die, even when you see the blast from the gun etc. But you can live through that and enjoy this, because this is clearly a work of passion and love.
