Like all of the other Definitive Edition releases, not perfect at launch but already a MAJOR Improvement. This release has single-handedly saved the 3rd version from fading into obscurity.

Here are my views of the PROS and CONS: (Many are hating on it because its a demanding game spec wise)

PROS:
-All Cards unlocked from Start
-Major Graphics overhaul
-Two brand new Civilizations
-Much needed Balance updates
-New exciting units
-Completely remade campaign
-New age up options that make the game feel new
-Age of Empires UI that is consistent with OGs (optional)
-New Music Tracks that sound amazing
-WAY better focus on rank games without hurting casual games
-Lots of accessibility with colors, layout and hotkeys supported
-REVIVED community around 17k peak a day as i speak
-Multiplayer menu is actually usable and looks clean
-Supports up to 8k resolution

CONS:
-Glitchy online server crashes (fixed)
-Ranked matches not counting
-Heavy to run at max (specs wise)
-Cultural sensitivity felt off for natives
-Bad pathfinding (not too bad but noticable)
-Online makes me rage lol

My system:
Ryzen 7 3700x
2070 super
32 GB RAM
around 60fps MAX at 1440p

Recommended Specs:
Ryzen 5 and higher 3000 series or i5 or higher
rx 580 could barely run at 1080 so id recommend a Radeon series 5700xt or 1070 and up for Nvidia

FOR SURE get at least 12 to 16 GB of RAM
