Dev's focus on a part of the game that a large player base ignores (and ignores both creative and balancing input, took ~year to get a response to a very overpowered weapon), Dev's have seemingly left development of the game for their large servered clone, Any updates coming are almost guarnteeed to be needing a hotfix after release (some of which take a day to be hotfixed or bugs that remain unfixed), The game is basically a not so cheap advertisement for the most likely to be buggy and unpopular mmo.
