After hundreds and hundreds and then thousands and thousands of hours spent on POE1 I cant think of a better ARPG. So let me tell you why I give a thumbs down. This is a hot take and the comments section I'm sure will fly off the handle with all the Gen Z and "you know the type" of people who will advocate against me.

I have invested a disgusting amount of time in poe1 & 2 as stated above... Then one day I can invest no time any more, not by my own doing. I played several characters in POE2 and brought them above level 80 before this incident occurred at the beginning of the year to put things into perspective.

Generally speaking, I keep chat off, because it's too cluttered. I had it on one day and was helping people (presumably noobs as they asked questions). Suddenly, I get a whisper from a GM that says, "your name will be your downfall". And just like that, I'm forced out of my map and back to the character select screen saying I am being forced to change my name. Then before I could change my name it logs me out and tells me "your account has been locked, please email (whatever ggg support email is) for support. I also get this message when trying to log into my account on their website.

Bearing that in mind I have you know I have purchased multiple supporter packs with my own personal opinion that I was really helping some quality developers. Time, Money, gone. In a poof. Because a GM in chat didn't like my name one time. I have emailed them several times. One reply came asking for information I could not provide because I do not have any access whatsoever to my account. I have not heard back from their support team since 1/3/2025.

If a name (bidencrimesyndicate) is so offensive, that it can just wash away all of your purchases, progress, time, energy, and efforts, then this game is simply not worth it. To be fair the TOS does say nothing political (idk i havent read them that is what people tell me) however, anyones name could be Biden, also, I have personally seen far more inappropriate names than that. Referencing things I will not even mention here. The cancel culture is very real in this game, and it is very shadowy and completely at the discretion of emotionally charged, ill-qualified chat GM's that can completely retract your purchase. So no. 0/10. Do not buy. Yes I am salty, you would be too.

This game is like uh, if Total War and Civilization had a red headed stepchild, that stepchild used MDMA and slapped King George himself to declare independence. 10/10 must get.

Played this game for some time even at one point became a "Legendary Supporter" for them. Please read this review before buying. CAUTION.

1. The game is riddled full of bugs
2. The itemization makes no sense and you spend majority of your time trying to understand this so that you can TRY to min/max a build.
3. This game is RNG dependent and although fun at first you will GRIND for literal DAYS AND WEEKS before finding the one item you need just to finally get strong enough to fight that one boss, to find out he is bugged and you get no credit.
4. The developers (or their moderators on discord) WILL BLOCK AND BAN YOU for no real reason whatsoever.
5. I am more than happy to explain my experience to literally anyone (add me) but DO NOT BUY THIS GAME.
6. The developers withheld SKIN DLC's from me after these were supposed to come with becoming a 'supporter' etc. Sketchy devs, sketchy moderators, and sketchy game.

10/10 DO NOT BUY

I have played destiny since the first original launch on console and every DLC and event since. The fact of the matter is that I cannot recommend this game purely based on the fact that Bungie does not maintain it's services well. The GAME is fun yes. It has had it's up's and down's over the years and to not mention its developers continuing issues would be bold faced lying to anyone looking into getting this for the first time. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME -- It is completely inexcusable to still have rigorous DLC launch-day issues that are completely game-breaking and riddled full of bugs. Battle-Eye bugs that kick you out of the game. Most people can't even get past the opening cinematics. Other people who do can't even get past the first mission of the new DLC. They are telling people to disable spatial audio on their audio device settings to avoid crashes and also advising them to not play various characters to avoid progress resets (if you even can get in and play flawlessly to begin with)... This is after two Destiny games, and several + DLC launches that have all had the same if not very similiar game breaking crashes/launch issues and bugs EVERY.SINGLE.TIME.

This game is a FAR cry from being complete. The towns are tiny, player models horrible for today's graphics and there is a general feeling of loneliness due to there not being any townspeople around to converse with. Dialogue options? What dialogue options. Skip this, go spend your money on GTA V if you want a better experience or wait for this one to develop. Definitely not worth the money. This is a 4.99$ game at best in it's current state.

Look, if you don't mind throwing away 7$ then by all means buy this game and waste that money. It's simple. Fun for it's price point and entertainment value I would give it a 3/10. my biggest gripe is that of the AI used for your units..... The developers had a choice to make when coding them... They had so many options I'm sure as simple pathing and behaviors for AI have existed for DECADES in simple games, yet they still chose the 'Simple Jack' setting for your units. They will weeble and wobble unable to make a decision about where to go instead of just going to where the enemy is.... So again, throw your seven dollars at this, I wont refund this game for the hopes it improves vastly in the future. But it is getting uninstalled for now.
