Heres another game that i bought for my daughter and found myself getting really attached to (GOD I MUST DO SOME MORE ADULT GAMING).
The game is what i would call a point and click game but not in the same vein as games like "the next big thing" or "runaway",no this is more a puzzle solving point and click game and its more the better for it,i mean in most point and click games you can end up carrying items for quite some time and usually they carry over into other scenes-not in this game all the items you find you usually use on the screen your on or there can sometimes be 1 or 2 other screens to use them on (except the temple level).
The graphics in game suit it and the music is ok and there is no spoken dialougue to speak of just cartoon comedy groans and noises of the like, the game plays out in the same way on all levels with you finding objects and using them to uncover the main item that will get you of that level and onto the next and also find treasures (dont need to find all to finish the level, but you do to finish it perfectly) OH and then theres the pesky little ferret who is your companion.
Now i grew to love the little fellow but OMG did he hide in some really hard to find places at times,on one level i kept missing him alltogether as i was allways looking in the wrong direction when he kept making a run for it.
I played the game on and of but found that i couldent stop playing until i had finished, and therein lies the games main and in my opinion biggest problem, once you have finished and finished the game with everything done there is really no incentive to play through again,so i would say buy it as it is a well made game and i think enjoyable for all ages, just dont expect to be playing it again after the credits roll.

This is a game that is causing a bit of contraversy,"ITS A FLASH GAME" and so it may be but another little game about a certain little boy who gets thrown down into the cellar is also-and it hasent stopped that being a really big seller and a really well received and loved game.
Anyway back to the review,i really like this game and i will tell you why A-its addictive and B-its actually very challenging.
The graphics are ok,the sounds ok and everything in the game is ok-but thats not what games are about (or they didnt used to be back in the day when graphics were blockey and sounds used to blib and blob) they are about fun and the challenge of learning a game inside out.
This game does not do what a lot of other games are guilty of "HAND HOLDING",you start as the american solider and get dropped in at the deep end and thats exactally what it is,doesnt tell you what to do just sets you of out after defending the base for the first night. You will eventually end up with 3 different characters and beleive me each has their own strenghs and weakneses (when you upgrade their weapons each one comes into their own in different ways) and trying to keep them all alive is one hell of a hard job as the game just gets harder and harder.
After a few nights you really do start to struggle to defend the base and yourselves if you havent made the right choices in what to upgrade either be it gear, guns, defensive wall ect.Of course all this costs scrap and you get this by wandering around outside the base in one of the other locations on offer, now some scrap lies there waiting to be picked up but some you get from shooting crates or by turning vehicles like tanks and jeeps into scrap (now you just push one button to do this and hold it in-but you must also defend yourself whilst you do this).Collecting the scrap you return to base before darkness falls (and beleive me thats where you are at you best defence wise-oh dear try a few nights outside the base and see what i mean).
Then like i have said the game shows its true light, you will play through a few times until you survive even 15 nights of the expected 30 to get out to the helicopter-and thats what its all about learning to play the game LITERRALLY.
You will sink or swim by the choices you make and thats good (sort of reminds me of a lot of good games where you learn from your mistakes and get better on every playthrough).
Eventully you will make it and then that will be it,and for me that is the worst thing about the game as i dont think i would play through it much after i have escaped and beaten the 30 DEADLY NIGHTS,and thats ok as i will certainly have some fun on my way to getting out ALIVE (with all three characters OH YEAH AS IF HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA)

I really like my SCI-FI games and its allways great when one has been made with a passion for the genre and trust me when i say that this game does not dissapoint.
You start by crashing into an unknown planet from on high (in a planetary environment suit) and then you as the AI of the suit have to keep your pilot alive and find the nearest help or medical center, now to say more than this would be to completely spoil any enjoyment you will get out of this game and also the twists and turns that happen all the way through.
Ok lets get to the brass tacks the graphics really do their job and put forward the nature of being on an unknown planet perfectly, the sound and dialogue are top notch and the script is one that most of the bigger SCI-FI movie disasters would be envious of.
The game plays out in rather a strange fashion lets just say its like CASTLEVANIA and MONKEY ISLAND had a baby,so it plays like a point and click at times but the layout of the game is very much in the style of KONAMI'S classic vampire basher's.
Let me get to the most important part of the game the story, now i wont say much but trust me if you are any sort of SCI-FI fan and want to enjoy both what the game has to offer gameplay wise but also want the story to thrill and entertain you then look no further as this game has story for a SCI-FI fan down to an art.
This is the first part of a trilogy and i just hope that the story continues in the same vein as this part as come the end there are more questions than answers, but to be honest when you have a trilogy do you really want the first part to end on a high and everything to be ok,well if your like me then "NO" as that is both boring and uneventfull and just wouldent leave you wanting more in the way that this does (THE CLIFFHANGER AT THE END REALLY IS GOOD AND ALSO INTRIGUING).
I recommend this game to all SCI-FI nutters and anyone that enjoys a good story,if thats not you look elsewhere as you may not like where this story takes you.

Right lets start by saying that allthough this game is set in the same storyline as the "ARKHAM" games it doesnt really play out in the same way that the other games actually do (even though it still carries the "ARKHAM" tag).

Heres the trailer for BATMANS adventures in BLACKGATE!!!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLxmeIPITjA

Ok lets just say that having said that, that the actual fight mechanics, gadgets and all around atmosphere feels like it does in most "ARKHAM" games but thats where the similarities end,to be honest the way you play the actual game feels more like an oldschool "METROID" or "CASTLEVANIA" game and it plays out from that viewpoint.
Now this is no major problem as this only spoils your enjoyment of this well made game if you sit and think about it to much "HEY THIS DOESNT PLAY LIKE THE OTHER ARKHAM GAMES,ME UPSET AND WANT MY MONEY BACK",and to be honest once you get used to it the 2.5d way the game is put forward actually feels fresh and new (well as new and fresh as it can feel anyway).
Lets get onto the fundamentals of the game, the graphics really do their job and do it well of putting over the whole atmosphere of playing in a "BATMAN" game and the cutscenes look like they have been stolen straight out of a graphic novel.

The cutscenes really do look like they have been ripped straight out of a graphic novel!!
http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=403730647

The sound in game is top notch from music and sound effects to spoken dialogue, everything sounds just as it should and puts forward that vibe that you need to convice you that you are in fact playing a "BATMAN" game.Mention must go to the voice actors and in particular 3 people Troy Baker who plays the JOKER and does (in my humble opinion) a fantastic job as the clown prince of crime (must say though that i do like and miss Mark Hamil, but well everything changes-not allways for the best though),Roger Craig Smith who does an excellent job of capturing that sound and dark forboding feel of THE DARK KNIGHT and Grey DeLisle who does a great job as the sultry and allways intriguing CATWOMAN (heres a trivia fact for everyone Grey DeLisle had been playing a certain Daphne Blake since 2001).
Ok on to the story, well actually no as to tell even any details would spoil both your enjoyment and the sheer buzz you will get out of playing it lets just say that i can mention a few certain villians that appear in the game 1-JOKER,2-PENGUIN,3-CATWOMAN and 4-BLACKMASK,there are other villians in the game and they are there for you to discover for yourself as if i say anymore it would spoil the whole story!! (but dont do like a lot of people do and rage quit as all the enemies in game are beatable.....................i am looking at you MR COBBLEPOT!!!!!!)

Finally defeated you PENGUIN!! (this is the fight that most people loose patience with and rage quit!!!!..............well dont as its doable and you just need to learn the pattern of the goons and then its easy!!!!)
http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=275179523

I will say this though that the game and story take place in BLACKGATE and that the whole thing takes part in 4 distinct areas the Cell Block, the Industrial Area, and the Administration Offices (with each playing out slightly different from the others, with each needing certain upgrades in your epuipment to beat and master),and each area has its own BOSS and at the end its own BOSS battle (some are easy, some hard and a few border on SATANICALLY DIFFICULT-you know which fight i mean you game you)
Will you enjoy taking another journey into the DARK KNIGHTS world, well yes if you love BATMAN and have any interest in playing a well made and put together peice of entertainment then why are you still reading this review go and buy the game and if not "HOLY HECK BATMAN,WHY NOT THIS GAME IS STUPENDOUS" says ROBIN and how can you disagree with a man brave enough to wear tights and go out in public (well at least he was like that in the 1960s American live action television series,GOD it would take some nerve to do that today)

Well lets start by saying one thing about this game, how shall i put it "GOD THIS GAMES ADDICTIVE".
Ok got that out of my system now on with the review, this is one of those casual games that just creeps on on you grabs you by the shoulders and says "HEY PLAY ME I AM A REALLY GOOD GAME" and trust me it is just that.
You start the game with a normal hand of cards and when you first start you have no special traits that can be applied to your deck but you earn these as you play and earn points and level up.
Now the object of the game is to win and be in front by the most points come the end of the game, now this is on some games a lot harder than it sounds depending on what special objectives are applied to that game and what special traits your opponent has equipped as these can spell success or failure depending on which ones are equipped.
Some special traits make you draw 3-4 more cards, some let you take an opponents card from any set you havent got and some further still let you play a card from your hand over again and there are many more for you to discover.
The graphics in game do there job (although this game is'nt about graphics to be honest) and the sound does its job also (again not really an issue as this games not about the music either) but its the play mechanics and the actual simplicity of the game that drags you in by the scruff of the neck and wont let go.
Start to play and you'll see why hand follows hand and eventually you realise that you have been sat playing the game for what seems like no time at all and yet 2-3 hours have passed. Now let me say that things start of nice and easy but (and this is where the game gets you) things soon pick up and eventually you end up at one of those pull your hair out moments that a lot of these deceptive games allways seem to posses ("I NEVER GET LIKE THIS I PROMISE" "OH YES YOU DO YOU LIAR" "OH OK THEN I ADMIT I DO OK,HAPPY NOW").
Dont worry about this though and dont let it put you of because as you play the game you will eventually start to learn the little Intricacies this game has and all the little tricks it throws at you and eventually you will wade past that difficult point you were stuck on,to only then get to another point thats just as annoying and just as tricky (but allways in a good and entertaining way).
So in closing if you like your games to be simple yet at times throw you with its twists in gameplay styles and also have the time to learn to play through all that the game throws at you then jump on in "ME BOYO",if not then i would suggest you look somewhere else as this game wont be for you,and remember why are pirates such dastardly deceptive blighters-answer "BECAUSE THEY AAARRRRRRRRRRR" (GOD THAT WAS SUCH AN AWFULL JOKE)

I do like rhythm games but havent played any in quite a while (GUITAR HERO ah such found memories) and just liked the look of this game "kung fu meets rhythm game sounds cool" (still cant get the image of JAKIE CHAN doing his moves to heavy meatl and rock out of my head HAHAHAHAHAHA).
And in my play time so far i havent been dissapointed, the graphics are good in game and are your standard hand drawn affair in between the levels and the track list is actually really good with diversity that this sort of game needs. The tracks range from music from the PC game Electronic Super Joy to tracks from rock and metal stars (ROB ZOMBIE thats what sold it to me this man is a GOD or DEMON depending on your view point,oh and the classic MARILYN MANSON track helped suck me in to),to indie musician CELL DWELLER and Taiwanese rapper SHEN YI (now that really is a diversity in music for a game like this).
The script is actually rather funny (JUSTIN BEIBER joke anyone HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA) and so far i have found it different enough that i actually want to keep playing to see were the story goes and then when i finish the game as the male charcter LEE will probablly instantly play it as the female character MEI.
So should you buy this game yet, well yes if you love rhythm games do so NOW if not well thats ok we dont all like the same thing, and if your sat on the fence about it wait for a sale or bundle deal.
But in my humble opinion this is a well written and produced game that should and hopefully will get a sequel as it is the sort of game that certainly deserves one.

Well i must admit that i bought this game as my daughter reccomended it as she had played it on her friends tablet and said to me "ITS A GOOD GAME DAD",OH i thought i dont know but i will get it for you and have a look at some point.
So she downloaded it played it and then went to bed, then i had a quick go just to check it out.
And then it happened to me again i just fell in love with the simplicity of the gameplay and then found myself wanting to feed the little critter all the candy on the level.
And that sums up what you have to do,but not how you have to do it "CUT THE ROPE" its that simple.
Or is it well no some levels have you thinking and eventually you will come up with the answer but not after some head scratching has taken place to solve said levels. Each level plays out like a puzzle and there is allways an answer, and even with the hard levels the answer is usually staring you straight in the face. And thats what makes this game easy to reccommend, its easy to get into (whatever your age) and its such a simple idea that of course this game had to exist and would eventually be made by someone and then draw us in with its addictive gameplay. So if that sounds good to you buy it and if not buy something else.

Early Access Review
EARLY ACCESS REVEIW SO WILL REVEIW THE GAME AGAIN AS AND WHEN IT GETS ITS FULL RELEASE

Ok i have only played this game for a brief period of time but in that short play time i have grown to like Sarah and care about her and her predicament.
You wake up and then your basically on your own as you choose which way to go and what to do next (the game is linear but doesnt play out this way and sort of deceives you into thinking you have a choice of what to do next).
The graphics suit this game and i love the pixelated style the developers have gone with, the sound is game is good and top marks to the whoever decided to go with the style they have gone with and now the story (wont spoil anything) is very mysterious and one that will give more away the more you play and is one i will love to get to the end of just to find out whats actually going on ??
Now this doesnt mean the story makes no sense (as it does) but it is one that is very intriguing and one that will only get better the nearer the devolpers get to release.
There are items to collect in game and these range from things like an umbrella (that helps you glide over gaps you would just never be able to jump without its help) to a magnifying glass (that shrinks you so you can access that hard to reach area that only someone the size of a mouse would get to),there are other items to collect and these you can discover for yourself as to much knowledge about a game this mysterious can only be a bad thing.
I reccommend this game whole heartedly and if your after a mysterious game that is well made and can only get better with time then look no further than "DREAMING SARAH"

Here is a game i have had for quite some time and played it and then put it down due to other games i wanted to play more and well you know how it is i just forgot about it.
I will be honest picked it up again due to it getting "TRADING CARDS" (very sad reason i know) and found that i really do like this game.
Play this game in short bursts and it is really is fun to play and quite a challenge on some levels on your own (played it a little in co-op and i must admit i prefer to play it by myself as i found it more challenging this way and therefore for me it was a much more intense and enjoyable way to play the game).
The graphics are ok and do their job adequately with the zombies shuffling around in true zombie fashion (except when they run at you for the kill as in 28 days later),the story is really not important (and there isnt really one to speak of-except kill the zombies sergeant to get to the next level of even harder zombies) and the music is quite cool and suits the game and the action thats going on,on screen (guitar riffs anyone). But its when you come to play that it gets quite addictive and thats where the fun lies ("I WANT TO BEAT THE NEXT WAVE AAARRRGGGHHH AND I WILL DO IT YOU ZOMBIE SCUM").
The survival mode is very challenging (and was my favorite part of the game to be honest) and even with the experience you build up (through out the course of the game) and use the perks you can choose from help a little but not much as the HORDE gets bigger and "BIGGER" (more play time i think to get better at this game needed).
I really do like this sort of pick and play game style and will come back to it again just to see if i can get that liitle bit further in mission and survival mode's and thats where this games appeal is,"JUST ONE MORE GO I CAN DO IT,I WILL JUST HAVE ANOTHER 5 MINUTES" (but it allways ends up being a couple of hours and not just another 5 minutes know what i mean AARRGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH).
If you like this sort of game and are not yet sick of "ZOMBIES" then i would still say buy it but get it in a sale or bundle deal,if you dont then i understand as we have had a lot of zombie games of late and like they say "TOO MUCH OF ANYTHING JUST ISNT GOOD FOR YOU".

Ok lets start by saying i had high hopes for this game and although i loved the demo i sort of feel cheated by the actual full release.
Now dont get me wrong this game is one that has production values that a lot of the bigger games would be envious of and the story in game is one i have not seen told in this medium before so far so good (BUT and there is a BUT,which we will come to shortly).
The graphics do an admirable job of putting the illusion forward that you are a baby exsisting in an adults world, and at times some of the things that frighten you wouldent do as an adult but when seen from a childs perspective are nothing more than terrifying.
The sound in game is top notch with your mum sounding like she really loves you (she has genuine concern in her voice, put forward brilliantly by the actor that plays her) and your character the baby sounds just like he should "GOOING" and "GAAING" at the right time in game but the character that steals the show is Teddy.
Taddy is voiced brilliantly and also potrayed really well in game with the graphics putting forward his floppy and, well just teddy like moves and attitude to perfection at times you will need his guidance as you can feel lost and listening to him helps you on the right track and also holding him close in dark areas helps comfort you and also light the way (literally).
The story is told really well and like i have said is (considering as your a baby in game) one i have not seen in this medium before and is very adult in nature and also quite harrowing the nearer you get to the end of the game, and come that point it all makes sense and like i have said is one that to be honest got to me and was quite upsetting.
So why did i say there was a BUT before, well its a great game but before you know it its all over and even though the game has a really good story and a satisfying ending you do feel cheated as the game is really short and by the time you come to the ending you will be like "IS THAT IT",now hopefully this can and should be addressed with DLC (and the DLC should be free as the main game itself is very expensive).
So do i recommend this game well yes its unlike anything you have played before but it will also leave you wanting more and is just to short at the asking price,so if unlike me you have patience wait for a sale and pick it up then as it will be better value for money when its at least half the price it is at the moment.
