Good Lore

If you ignore the art teams amazing work, deserving of several praises and awards. if this is destiny at its peak, your money will be spent elsewhere better if you buy this at full price. three of the seven campaign missions do nothing to push the story forward and the story its self has such bad pacing that they need pad the the missions out with several side content activities.

For the end of their ten year story its good. but that's the problem its just good, not great. so many games are pushing the medium for a fraction of the price and yet here we are in destiny seemingly stuck in its old ways.

these problems are only worsened when you realise that the story of this game is 90% gone, removed, likely never to see the light of day again. its as if you were to jump into season 8 of a 10 season show, with every other season unwatchable. Bungie is Honestly a joke when it comes to their "Live service" game and should honestly be ashamed that even after all these years, their focus on money is still more of a priority than providing an unforgettable experience.

the only redeeming factors this expansion brings was the previously mentioned art direction and the only somewhat reskined new faction of enemies that provided a fresh and more difficult experience.

its been fun but for me and a lot of other players, this is the end. thank you for all the memories bungie and the community

A perfect game when it comes to actual game play, and the best community ive ever seen. but even after the whole Sony/Playstation debacle its hard to stay positive about the game. Poor community managers and a disgusting amount of bugs introduced with every update its hard to look past them. if they ever step up their bug squashing game, this title would easily be a 10/10

Ignoring the Numerous optimisation issues and the scummy inclusion of micro transactions (which, while all but two are obtainable ingame a plenty, still shouldn't be in a single player game) compared to the first game this is a huge step backwards in every way apart from the explorable world, Pawns, and graphics.

The first game had a forgettable story which was made up for with the unique and fun combat. this sequel does nothing to solve the issues that bogged down the first game and even combat has suffered with this new release, with less vocations (classes) and even skills than the first game.

The enemy variety was also an issue in the first game and just like the story, nothing was done to fix this. infact there are even less enemy types than the first game, you'll see the same Goblins, Humans, Saurians, and harpies, with a little slime sprinkled here and there no matter where you go on the map, with skeletons, Zombies and wraiths during the night. none of these enemies are new. there are even less giant climbable enemies than the first game to the point where i began to ignore them by the end of the game after fighting them so much.

the economy in this game is also a joke. 10k for a haircut, 200 to fast travel across half the map, 10k to sleep in an inn at one area of the map, 2k in another. its like they didn't even try.

after coming off an elden ring binge i cant help but compare this game and all its content to that of limgrave in terms of the depth in the world with all these cool places to explore but even then thats a stretch as elden ring had more variety in that one starting area than dragons dogma 2 had in the entire game.

to end it off, if you see this game on sale for £30 or lower then i'd recommend it but otherwise the first game would do you so much better.

The hours I have on this game should tell you it's a good time. But the most recent update has broken the game for many users including me, to the point where it won't even launch anymore. While I could overlook save data getting lost and some initial performance issues the first time playing this game, I can't recommend this anymore :p

Had the potential to be one of the best stories in gaming but was ruined with writing that rivals the quality of Forspoken, another lifeless patrol zone, a clunky menu rework and several unwanted or oversimplified features. The only thing thats impressed me yet, is how far Bungie dropped the ball with this expansion.

as soon as i started playing i couldnt stop, not only do the characters keep you engaged with the story but the actual plot of the story which i wont dare spoil becuse of how good and unespected it was supprised me to the point where i started thinking, why is this game free it should be at least a tenner.
ive heard that theres are tons of endings and since i was so enaged for my first playthrough i will be coming back for more and the use of features outside the game truely make this a unique and special gem that is surrounded by the coal of tripple A games

and for that i would rate the game 9/10 and would recomend this to anyone who likes horror, dateing sims or anime in genral

a great game and lots to explore i wont stop playing this game for a long time 10/10
