As much as I wanted to like this game, and as much as I adore the edgy magical girl genre, this game just doesn't justify its price tag. The majority of the time is just spent visiting all the girls in their various locations, gifting them various items for the same piece of dialogue, and very occasionally something spooky will happen which always surprised me. It was like getting tased while falling asleep.

It's exciting and I wanted more spooky things to happen, but then the game just falls right back into its day to day routine and before you know it the story is over. 7 hours for a visual novel is pretty anemic, especially when about 4 hours of it was spent just navigating menus and upping stats. The game establishes some pretty good character intrigue, but then just refuses to deliver on any of it because you barely get to spend any actual time with the girls you're courting. Not to spoil, but the ending also completely ruins any time you even spent with them in the first place and reframes the whole romance aspect into a weird exploitative mess.

It might be worth it if it's heavily discounted and I did at least get a little bit of enjoyment out of it, but if you're looking for a compelling psychological horror, then definitely skip this one.
