My first day of playing Starfield, I wasn't sold on it. I couldn't put my finger on why that was. It had all the elements of a Bethesda game that I always enjoy. But I wasn't feeling that familiar feeling.

On the second day, I got that feeling back. It was the Bethesda I remembered, and now I think I know why my first day was so alien in comparison. I believe it was just with all the new systems that they throw at you in the early portions of the game itself. Having to learn quite a lot all at once was a bit of an overwhelming feeling. Having to remember all the button combinations for when you land your ship on a planet, making sure you don't accidentally get up out of your seat while in combat (something I still do to this day lol), and even playing around with allocating power to different areas of the ship. It's a lot of moving parts that take a bit of getting used to.

After I got a handle on how to play the game, it became immensely more enjoyable! I wouldn't say it hits the same highs as Oblivion and Fallout 3 do for me, but that may be something that changes with time as well.

It's a really good game. Absolutely recommend it for anyone that wants a Bethesda game in space. Also while I'm terrible at ship building, seeing some of the ship designs that people make online is incredible! Once mods really get a foothold on this game, you'll be able to make just about any experience you want in here. Imagine having full control of an entire planet, make a city, write the story and lore, putting an entire game's worth of work into Starfield.

Starfield is a game that'll be here for years to come, and I can't wait to see where it leads!

Destiny 2 may have had a rocky start but it's gotten into SUCH a fantastic spot now that's it's 100% worth the time. It's a free game for all of the year 1 content and you can to every location in the game, even if you don't own the DLC's.
