Enjoyable short game. Got this in Humble Choice but would recommend for purchase, especially if you can enjoy the game with a younger audience, as I did with one of my kids.

Can't say that this title was particularly enjoyable. Cool downs on skills were just off enough that by the third defense point, you were vastly out played by the AI. First upgrade costs were not available until just before the third wave and made no difference to keeping defenders alive as the third wave had an AI fire ball that pretty much wiped defenders in one hit.

Easy to follow collect items to further story/find hidden items game. Nothing new to the formula if you have played other games from this series. The main difference here is many resources will not reload on maps as they did in the other titles, making it more important to conserve them. Overall, still as fun as the other titles and the more linear push of the story makes it a bit faster to play start to finish.

Much like the previous Hero games, casual point and click with lite story element. Although I enjoyed this one, it is more of a grind to collect what you need in order to advance your skills when compared to the previous titles. The random respawn for items such as locks to pick lead to more time in game than was necessary to complete the main story line. While I found that to be a con, there are probably many that view that as a positive.

Great game, quick to learn even if you aren't well versed in the sport. There are lots of neat things here, notably :

- Turn based tactics
- Player and team customization
- Thrill of victory and anguish of defeat
- Pretty deep play including improving your coaches stadiums and recruit pools.
-You can simulate games or dive right in and take control, also an option to spectate and take control at anytime.

Awesome ARPG. With 891+ hours of play and counting, I think it is safe to say it is well worth the cost even if not on sale. The game has a good story line, several factions to align with, tons of loot and many class combinations that will have you theory building in your sleep. The devotion system paired with Mythical item sets provide vast options for how you build any given character.

PROS : Loot, multiple classes, straight to the point story as you progress.
Difficulty curve is very fair, ability to respec skills and devotions.

CONS: Some builds don't really shine without specific gear, devotions and class skill trees can be difficult to grasp at first.

Highly recommended game !

Updated : Nominated for Labor of Love award 2023. With a huge new patch and upcoming expansion Crate truly delivers the best ARPG out there.

One of my all time favorite RPGs. Beamdog is actively updating the game for modern machines and adding some nice features to the multiplayer. If you played this a lot in the past, picking this up is worth every penny. All the old user made modules are backwards compatible, so you have hundreds of hours worth of adventures to play solo or with friends.

Well done RPG with a streamlined skill system (3 active ability and some gear with passives). Main questline was enjoyable, even if somewhat predictable. There were a good amount of side quests and a great crafting system for role play and useful stat boosts.

- Combat was realtime with pause, worked fine. Max 2 companions in party
- Plenty of loot to discover or craft
-Stable only crashed a few times towards endgame
-Open world, some encounters can be above your current skill level.

Overall Fun game, more than worth the price.

Pretty fun ARPG with some base building/roguelike features. There are four classes in game and each has four special attack/defense skills to invest in besides the standard stats. You choose random encounters across a "world map" and up grade your town with materials earned from each encounter. Most of the game feels stable, only had 2 crashes in all my time played. However, on occasion some maps will load with no encounters spawning on them, forcing you to exit back to the load screen.

Would like to have seen a few more map types as the journey across the world map gets a bit stale as you progress. Boss fights were ok , liked that each had some diversity. Overall enjoyable game that can be played at your own pace.
