Ignore the mixed rating, despite what the negative reviews say this scenario is not actually too hard. It certainly isn't easy, which is a good thing, the tactics needed are simply *different*. The Red Army at this point in time was struggling very hard to consolidate and push the Wehrmacht back, having taken absolutely catastrophic losses during Barbarossa. The wehrmacht on the other hand still has plenty of very powerful formations that you got to deal with. That's not to say that you don't have your own aces up your sleeve, it just means that you have to play it very differently compared to previous scenario's playing as the US or as Germany.

Simply put, learn and adapt your tactics and strategies, or get your ♥♥♥♥ kicked in. This is NOT a flaw at all, and I find these scenario's some of the most fun ones in the whole game because the enemy is so dangerous if not correctly handled.

Other then that the scenario's seem very true to life, and you will be facing similar challenges as the real commanders did having to use troops of mixed quality and without a lot of supporting equipment going up against veteran, if exhausted, troops. It is gonna be an uphill struggle, and you will take losses, but if you have a steady hand then total victory may be yours.

Highly suggested addition if you own Unity of Command 2, absolutely worth it.

It is the same great game we got with UoC 1 but with more content. All the new mechanics are worked beautifully into the game, with everything from the HQ abilities to the new supply system giving you a more diverse toolset while rewarding planning ahead.

The new campaigns that carry on with the losses of your previously fought battles is also a welcome addition; caring for your men will now actually have an effect in game. Slowly building up your forces and getting ridiculous material superiority over your foe, or scrambling to rebuild your poor, shattered divisions after the German panzer divisions decided they didn't like your pretty face very much is fun and engaging.

All in all, a winner. It was a real treat doing testing for this game.

Oh, also, it is set on the Western Front in case you didn't notice. I'm sure the devs will fix this when the next DLC comes out.

I want to remind people that it is take-two that are retarded, not rockstar. Rockstar has stated several times that they love mods.
