43 hours in this is legit unparalleled by anything i've ever played thus far: the scenery is beautiful, graphics in general are very easy on the eye. Amount of character customization is intriguing and interesting. The D&D aspect, having never played D&D myself, is obvious and is implemented very well. The quest lines are straight forward and approachable. I like the explore checks you receive that reveal semi-hidden content too. Turn-based combat system, something i was already familiar with having played Divinities, is my favorite aspect of Larian's rope's. Almost everything about this game is spot-on.
One criticism i have and it's about the spell slot mechanic. I understand it's implemented in hopes of staying true to the D&D system but it's rather limiting and makes one mistake or the counter-spell mechanic very punishing.
