Honestly wit the aesthetics I saw and the concept I was expecting a lot more. The gameplay is extremely boring and not well-explained, nor was it well-designed, it had a terrible UI and even worse gameplay. The combat was like a part of the game that they forgot to develop altogether, it felt like a cardboard cutout in the middle of a video. After finishing the first game I only then understood how things worked, made a new game and a new race but barely played a few turns because it really wasn’t fun and not worth wasting my time on it.

I came to this game after playing HOMM 3 remastered and honestly this wastoo hard to even look at. And with the visuals being so uncomfortable I can't even play it. Hard no.

It’s a great game and I can see why it is so popular. I’ve always loved 4X games, with Age of wonders 2 being my favorite, but if I had played this back in the day I think I would’ve held it in almost the same regard. It does get tedious after a bit and the gameplay is rather slow but it was fun nonetheless.

The best one in the series of DoW1 games, the variety of races, buildings, units and playstyles let’s you play on end, it’s just a shame that this game doesn’t have Achievements, I would’ve sunk so much more time into this game if that were the case. The new overworld power system is also a unique addition to the game but it seems in return they removed the permanent building system which was available in Dark Crusade, which is a real shame since that was one of the best things in that game, there’s also the addition of flying units which is actually not as good as it sounds.
With some great additions but some things taken away Id still give this game a solid Overall score 9/10

One of the best entries in the series, the campaign map - though lacking a story - is still the best in DoW1 with its permanent structures system in the campaign, basically if you play a mission and build tons of buildings and defenses and win, then when the same map is attacked by an enemy all your defenses are present. It’s also a great mix of RPG with the items and upgrades system you have on your heroes, this game has insane replay value, I don’t even know how much time I spent on this game playing each race with each difficulty it was a great experience. And of course it’s great that theres more races.

A good continuation of the first game, it has some more unique mission design but overall pretty much the same game with new races, which is a great thing. Overall score 7.5/10

One of the best RTS ever made. It has amazing Voice acting, Amazing Soundtracks, great immersion during games, a great variety of races with unique playstyles and a great community.
The campaign is a generic 40K story but the character development and writing is done right, the missions, however don’t offer much in terms of creativity or unique gameplay.

This was actually a great game, I liked the feeling of exploration and also the very serious storytelling where they’re not afraid to kill off characters. I rushed through it because I had a lot of games to finish but I could tell this game was well-made and deserves a playthrough.

No one makes tower defense games like Ironhide studios, these guys are just awesome at it, the small easter eggs hidden in the maps, the fun graphics, the creative towers and upgrades, the hero mechanic and abilities you can use just add up to be one of the best TD experiences ever, an easy recommend, if you’re a trophy hunter this will keep you busy for a long time. Overall score 8/10

Great gameplay that really emphasizes the difficulty of dropping in on a hostile planet infested with bugs and aliens. Small touches make this game great like how reloading with a half empty mag would mean you’re wasting half your ammo as the bullets in the mag don’t magically transfer to the reloaded mag, it’s also a good/bad thing how there’s friendly fire as if IRL, unfortunately since we are human this is going to cause a lot of grief but overall the gameplay loop is great, the major thing that marred my experience though is that the game was pay to win, with a bundle bought you can call in equipment that you otherwise wouldn’t have like a dreadnought-like robot and also there’s a lack of character customization or meta progress. Overall score 8/10
