Small Town Terrors: Livingston was originally released back in 2012. It is a classic hidden objects game, a very well-made one. The story starts off with a family traveling by car and ended up in an unfortunate accident. The mother was injured and fell into a coma while her husband and daughter were safe, visiting her every day in the hospital. One day, she wakes up alone in an abandoned-looking hospital, not knowing how long she's been in a coma but she is determined to find her daughter and husband, ignoring the lurking danger around her.

The game's atmosphere is creepy, there are a couple of jumpscares too but overall it is very enjoyable. The hidden objects scenes are good, and the puzzles are fun, some of them are difficult. I didn't notice the soundtracks, there is nothing special or attractive about it, however, I liked the objectives/tasks list. You can view the objectives, but you can also look further into what you can do more in the area, you'll get some information by clicking on each task. It works as a mini hint beside the original hint button.

Sadly there are no in-game achievements or steam achievements, I like those as they make the game challenging. There is also no journal to keep track of the story. The map is good and helpful, but there is no fast-traveling function as the game is old.

The artwork is good, it is outdated yet good. Some of the areas are well drawn, and some others feel a little bit empty. I didn't like the character's design or animation at all, but I won't be unfair and compare it to the new HOGs.

Pros:
+Good but outdated graphics.
+Exclent Tasks list.
+Good creepy story. (Jumpscares)
+Multiple hidden objects scenes.
+Variety of puzzles.

Cons:
-No fast traveling map.
-Bad characters design and animation.
-No voiceovers.
-No steam achievements.

I recommend it because it is still playable if you ignore the dated artwork. I enjoy the old HOGs more than the new modern ones. This is a good game for people who enjoy classic hidden object games.

I agree with you, usually I play a game twice, first I immerse myself in the story and just play the way I like, second time I hunt for chievos I might have missed like morphing objects. I do relish getting a perfect game though, it's just who I am.

@Mickmane, achievments is good only if you like a challenge or to show off on your profile that you have 'perfect games' other than that it is a real stress for me lol

@Saena, thank you my dear :feena:

Shame about no fast travelling map, but I think I'll dig this out and finally play it.

In HO games, those so-called "achievements" just throw me out of the story, as I end up using a guide to find the morphing objects or whatever. Just another way to spoil a game (different ways for different games), I decided "screw them, they don't get me anything anyway". :))
