It's a solid Souls-like with a great dark fantasy aesthetic.

It is a solid port of the original game but its still just a port. Its not a remaster and does not need to be 50 dollars. I recommend the game whenever you can get it on sale.Yeehaw

A solid remaster. Makes the game feel more modern while still retaining the original feel. There are a handful of changes I disagree with but the new good additions outshine the negative ones. If you loved the playing the original like I did, you enjoy this remaster.

I'll start by saying that I never played the original System Shock, however this is how a remake should be. From looking at original game play the new environments were crafted with care to be faithful to the original. The visuals look good while still paying tribute to its 90's origin. The core mechanics have been updated for the better while still feeling like the original. Only complaints would be the more maze like design of Maintenance and the lack of proper direction on a few objectives that I had to look up.

This game should have never been a AAA full release. There is too much filler for what is a 13 to 14 hour game. Mordor is a slog with menial tasks and bad platforming. The game does get better once the story goes to Mirkwood but that does not save it. Yes I did have bug related issues, not so much performance, which I know the Devs apologized for but that was not made this game bad. If you are a hardcore Tolkien fan maybe get this game when drops to like 10 to 15 bucks.

Its a bunch of animations of Gollum messing with a beetle that aren't even entertaining. If this was free i'd still question why it was made but somehow they think its worth 3 dollars.

As a fan of the first Greg Hastings Paintball this is a real disappointment. I wont knock the graphics too much because its a mobile game port however there is no video settings and the game auto launched in windowed for me. The game play is fine and can be enjoyable but where this game drops the ball is in game modes. There is no career mode were you can just make a team and play in solo tournaments from ammeter to pro scene like in the first game. The only mode available to multiplayer and The "Multi-player" is really just bot matches were you are kill/score racing other players that are in the same lobby, no actual PvP to speak of. On top of the complete lack of game modes, the micro transactions are awful. You have to buy paintballs which are then used by your character. You are paying for virtual paintballs. Now you can use in game currency to pay for them but there is always the option of using premium currency to in game or just using the premium currency. Then of course there are markers, masks, clothes, etc... that are locked behind premium currency. Just a complete disappointment.

I do not have VR so maybe that could be an enjoyable/unique experience for a free game.

Very enjoyable game even in early access. The setting is really unique and even got me looking into the real world expeditions into the Arctic, like the Franklin expedition. Game play is simple enough that you can get the hang of things within a couple of matches, though I would wish the tutorial would explain a little more. The framework is already here devs just need to add additional maps to keep things from getting stale and maybe some balancing tweaks. Is fun even with randoms, though I do recommend playing with a handful of friends to keep the lobby from being filled with some of the communities mores undesirable players.

Edit: So after not playing for months, I tried a match. All the matches are Hong Kong, Japan, or Korean servers. They didnt RDM me but of course I could not communicate. Game is dead for English speakers besides one lone lobby. Sadge

Love the base game but this DLC just wasnt fun. Felt like they kinda just got lazy and each arena is just a combination of the various enemies thrown in random orders. The new enemy types are boring and slow the game down.
