Playing Melee is like driving your dad's 1967 Ford Mustang. Just turning on the ignition requires you to turn the key just right, of course the car is stick shift so you have to learn that too, the clutch is a bit finnicky, and the radio doesn't work. But once you get the hang of driving it, you're at the wheel of one of the best cars of all time. Smash 4 is a 2016 Toyota Camry. It is perfectly fine to drive, and has many features that the '67 Mustang doesn't have. When you first pick it up from the lot, you already know how it drives, and you know most of its quirks. It's safe, dependable. But it lacks the charm of the Mustang, and the Mustang is a lot more fun to drive.

Did you ever hear the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise? It's a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith so powerful and so wise, he could use the Force to influence the midi-chlorians to create...life. He had such a knowledge of the Dark Side, he could even keep the ones he cared about...from dying. He became so powerful, the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power...which, eventually of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew. Then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death...but not himself.
